Well, here it is, after a long... long wait! Tarot readers, what's your moon sign?
(Aries)
Hmm... Should we include an ascendant poll if this does well?

Do you think it will show more significant results than the Sun sign poll?
I speak as a typical Aquarian, the sign of the scientist - expressed as a feeling rather than a creative urge (LOL)

my moon sign is scorpio. while i do not consider myself a vengeful or judgemental person, i do well feel the edge of scorpio's desire to be vindictive a times. i try very hard to rise above it and i think for the most part succeed. however, there have been times i fell. sometimes for good reasons like standing up for the underdog. there are times i wish i kept my mouth shut as "no good deed go unpunished". thank-god i'm a pisces with venus in pisces. i have a big heart as long as you don't get on the bad side of that moon in scorpio.

I happen to know my moon sign (capricorn) because I once had my chart drawn, but I have no idea what that means. ;)

Are you able to define 'berserker'?
Having an Aries moon this is a matter rather close to my heart.

My moon is in Virgo. Both husband and me are sun fire signs...me Sag, him, Aries. But we have been told that our aspects in Virgo are "different". Don't know what that means, but we get along great......so that's all that matters!

Hey Aoife,
Oh... it's something that amuses me from Banzhaf's "Keywords for Astrology" which refers to the bearer of the attribute (as a child) as a little B. No disrespect to Mr. Ban (I don't want to start criticism here) but certainly none of the category (unlike others) fits me this time. I was/am really quite placid. Since the predictions are "unisex", I suppose I (and you?) would be this "Amazon" type too. Better get that singlet out? :D
Berserker: Ancient Warriors who fought in a (halucinogen-induced) crazed state.
Apparently Boudicca (among others) employed them. Now where did I put those "shrooms"? })

Moon in Pisces. People with this placement are often involved in human services, and I am too. Pisces Moons make us empathetic and committed to assisting people but can also make us exquisitely sensitive to emotional vibes of all kinds. We need to develop protective skins else we pick up and absorb negative energy really quickly. However, we're creative as well.
We tend to be tapped into the great unconscious, which explains our interest in esoteric things, and are often highly intuitive. However, we have to strive not to take on martydom (early childhood stuff) and are a little perfectionist. Prestige and material things don't matter that much.
Ginger Rogers, Chuck Berry, Aleister Crowley and Pierre Balmain were Pisces Moons but I've struggled to find other well known people with this placement. Self-evident - we are all modest and humble people

Huh... not statistically significant, but I'm the same as MeeWah, Pisces with Aquarius moon. (I call it Fish Flake, Mee. :) )
I dated, for far too long, a person with the reverse placement. We were incredibly dysfunctional in partnership -- brought out the worst in each other almost deliberately. Yet stayed together for, as I said, far too long.

Wonderful stuff Macavity!
Fits me to a 't' [shirt rather than singlet is more becoming, i think for the Amazonian physique]. No need for halucingenics though, give me the warpaint and a good dose of PMT and a crazier woman would be hard to find! I can certainly go with the Boudicca image if it means I can have Alex Kingsley's perfect white teeth.

It's not "shrooms" you should go looking for, but catnip;-)
Oh yes, and I've a Pisces Moon as well as Sun. A lot of what Moongold says rings true. It's a good thing I have Scorpio rising; you have to get past the fierce guardian with the stinger outside to get to the sensitive center.

Holaaaaaa
I DO relate to the berseker!!!
It's not my usual mood, but if conditions compell me I can enter that "altered" state and bring it out from the depths within where it's hidden.
Yes then, berseker. Exactly because the berseker state itself, by definition, is just mindless, a completely different way to perceive things and behave, and it is not a "standard" attitude but rather a reaction, a pattern brought up from inside when urged to.
Completely fiery, just furious and... crazy. Burning everything on your way. And, on your wake.
Anyway, if I were to consider the whole of:
- Sun (Gemini)
- Mars (conj Sun)
- Moon (Aries)
- Rising (Scorpio)
the Berseker only expresses the more... exterior immediate-like characteristics of Mars/Moon, whilst it's more apropriate to add that pinch of subtleness and psycho and think of me as...
BANSHEE. :D

There are probably a lot of sites that give moon sign information, and this one seems very basic, but I happened to have saved it because it was so helpful in dealing with my son's moon in Virgo energy (plus basic is just my speed; I don't know a lot about astrology:-) www.astrology.about.com/library/blfeatures/bl-moon-aries.htm ; this page shows Aries, but has links to all the other signs along the bottom.

taurus here (sun=gemini 2°, rising sign=scorpio 12°)
Moon is in 3° Taurus
Warmth, comfort, security and familiar surroundings are necessary for you to feel at ease. Very loving and affectionate, you prefer a steady, patterned way of life. Patient, calm and steadfast, you are not easily upset. Others look to you for support. You tend to be a slow starter and a slow mover -- others may try to rush you, but they will never succeed. Emotionally, you are quite stubborn -- your attitudes about people and things were firmly set in your youth and will change very little as an adult. You are also very cautious and conservative about spending money. It is not that you are selfish, you just need to feel secure. Beware of a tendency to become overly complacent and too self-satisfied.
(i have the info from:astrolabe)
and now a poll for the rising signs!!! ;)

Well Wave Breaker, I went to the site and here is Moon in Capricorn:
With the Moon in Capricorn, you generally feel more emotionally secure when your day to day life is structured and/or when you are working hard. You may not feel valuable to others unless you're pulling more than your own weight? Because of all this, you may experience great difficulty in your ability to relax and "let go." You may also at times be emotionally distant or cold. All of this is primarily because, as a very young child, you may have experienced your mother as having been strict, authoritarian, and demanding perfect behavior. She may have also been emotionally cold and distant. Your mother's love may have been limited in some way, and she may have prone to depression. Or perhaps Mom was afraid that coddling you too much would spoil you? Was her favorite saying: "God helps those who help themselves." Or was it: "You've got to pull yourself up by your own bootstraps!" The Moon is the "place" where we go for comfort when scared.... and, as adults, we tend to unconsciously nurture ourselves in much the same way we subjectively experienced our mothers nurturing and caring for us when we were very young children. So, when under stress, you keep yourself emotionally safe and secure by drawing strict emotional boundaries and limitations between yourself and others. When feeling threatened by an unexpected crisis, you feel safer when taking over duty and responsibility and by quickly getting in control (and on top) of the situation.
So, feel right or not? It is certainly partly right for me.

I'm a newbie, too, to the whole astrology thing..... The degrees can make a difference... but first let's look at what your Rising sign is, the one in 1st house (far left of 'pie' )
Now look at that little chart thingy and see what SIGN is next to the planet MOON..... that is your Moon sign.....

I am an Aquarius Sun and Cancer Moon
Not the most compatible of signs!
I definitly feel the opposition of the two signs and the way the two pull away from each other.
The worst part of it is the emotions. When I was growing up there was this lad I was friends with and I remember him turning to me one day when I was about 10 and saying 'I really can't make you out, you're happy one minute, sad the next, sometimes you cry a lot and sometimes you laugh too much!'
I suppose now I know why!
