Suppose, just suppose there were a Simpsons Tarot.
Who would be who? I'd put Homer as the Fool and Marje the Empress. Moe would have to be the Devil. Smithers could be the Hanged Man 'cos he's a bit of a martyr, and lives in a state of suspense hoping Mr. Burns will love him back.
Any other ideas?

I can see
the Christian neighbor (forget his name) as the Hierophant
Maggie as the Fool -
Marge as the Empress
Bart - Knight of Wands
Homer - The lovers
Lisa - High Priestess
Burns - Devil (Definately)
7 eleven dude - Temperance
That was fun - thanks

Justice - Police chief Wiggams
King of Pents - Comic book guy
7 of Swords - Fat Tony & gang
Temperance - Principal Skinner
Queen of Swords - Mrs. Cra-Bopple
Knight of Pents - Milhouse
But where would Patty & Selma fit in?
Who is Strength?

:TSTRE Strength would be (I forget his name) the school Maintenance man, Scotts accent.
:TJUDG Patti and Selma would both be on the Judgement card.
:TMOON Santa's Little Helper and the three eye'd fish would both be on the Moon card.
:T9C Homer would be on the 9 of cups sitting in front of a table with 9 cans of Duff
:TAC Ace of cups would be a can of Duff
:TTOW The Tower would be the Springfield Nuclear power plant during a meltdown.
This sure is fertile ground!

I agree with the Tower as the nuclear power plant indeedy doody.
Flanders would definately have to be the Devil or maybe Reverend Lovejoy, a bit of a toss up there.
Homer = The Hanged Man
Lisa = Hierophant
Marge = Temperance
Otto = Three of cups
Sideshow Bob = Seven of Swords
Bart = hmmmmm....the Wheel of Fortune? It's a tough one
Grandpa wishes he was the Hermit hee hee
Kent Brockman = Four of Pentacles
gosh you could go on forever.......

Otto as the Chariot - of course, why didn't I think of that!
I actually think Mr. Burns could be the Magician - after all at one point he tried to block out the sun.
I'd cast Rev. Lovejoy as the Hierophant.
And poor Cousin Merle and some family member of his would be the 5 of Pentacles.
Nelson = 5 of Swords...
and I agree... Chief Wiggum would have to be Justice.
Love the idea of Mrs. Krabopple as the Queen of Swords.
I think Bleedin' Gums could be Judgement 'cos in one episode he plays to Lisa from out of the sky.
And I'd nominate Barney Gumbo for Strength 'cos in later episodes he tames the lion of his alcoholism.
But the High Priestess worries me, don't think there's anyone in the series up to the job!

:THP High Priestess: for some reason I see Maggie here. I just think she knows more than she lets on. She must have some really good secrets!

Of course - the silence, and yet she always seems to understand everything (like scrabbling to get out of the car when she hears that Selma wants a baby, heh-heh) Good one Woof!

Hew! What about Kang & Kodos? Judgement maybe? They're always trying to take over the world in those Halloween episodes.
Hmm, 3 of Swords--Comic Book Guy?
Abu & his wife as 2 of Cups? Or them & the whole family as 10 of Cups, though they're not always so happy about the 8 kids.
Snowball II should be with the 3 eyed fish on the Moon card, opposite Santa's Little Helper, remember there's two figures at the edge of the pond.

Mayor Quimby - the Emperor. Or the King of Wands (ahem!)

Good one!
The bully kid who says "HA ha" as the Page of Wands.
Milhouse = 2 of Wands? He's always waiting, but things never happen right for him. I can see him perpetually standing there looking out at the world.
Doc Hibbard as 3 of Pentacles? He's good in his profession.

"fool - the viewer"
Teehee! Good one, paradoxx. That makes me one of the biggest fools around, I'm afraid.
I think the world could be the brothel-madam - you know the one who does the can-can and 'puts the Spring in Springfield'
And maybe the Lovers could be Selma and Troy McClure

omg paradoxxx ... that was an EXCELLENT list.
i've been lurking on this thread, of course, and am a huge Simpsons fan. Some of the most saavy humor on tv, as far as im concerned.
anyhow, that was a REALLY good list. I love Otto and the school bus as the Chariot. Alissa does her best Otto imitiation, "Whoa ho, hang on back there kiddies!"
