if there's a deck of the year, i propose we also vote for a card of the year.
my vote would be the temperance card of the tarots of the hidden folk:

I suppose part of the difficulty between choosing one's prefered deck, and a favourite card, is that for the first one may choose a deck for a variety of reasons.
Choosing a card is more difficult, for at least some of us, as it removes it from its contextual deck... quite a different undertaking.
... having said this, I would have to pick XVII the Star, XVIIII the Sun, or XXI the World card as personal favourite positive cards... ohhh, but then XX Judgement too, and... (I'd better stop.)
My most beautiful deck (not necessarily the one I 'value' the most) is undoubtedly my Tarot de la Felicité... choosing between those four nominated cards, I would probably, at this moment, choose ... let's see... :):):)

So this isn't a deck specific card, but just happens to be the card that i seem to be drawn to in most decks: 3 of Swords. My two favorite ones are the 3 of Swords in the Fey Tarot and in the Cosmic tribe. They're both just so haunting and mesmorizing (sp?). I think i'm just attracted to that state of beautiful sorrow.
Those with the Shine know...

I can't choose.... the ones I'm stuck between are almost all in the Vargo Gothic, so I'll pick one (first among equals)...
...Death... the Vargo's death is so organic and natural, truly reminding that when autumn comes for anything, it must change with the season, die back so other things can grow in it's place. I think it was Umbrae (if it was someone else, I'm sorry!) who said "It's all vegetable" about this card, and that is such a perfect description of it. Strangely, I really don't like Death cards in most other decks (except Vertigo and Medieval Scapini) - it's a card that's often over-dramatised, and this spoils it for me. But Vargo's got it perfectly for me!

Difficult, but I just love the 10 cups (emotions) in Osho Zen. I've been trying to find a link but no success yet. Can anyone help out?

I am sorry it is just too impossible for me to choose.... I have far to many favorite cards.
It was hard enough for me to choose a favorite deck :D

I'm a fickle Gemini, and it could change, but at the moment it's the Star from the Hudes deck (sorry, can't find a link).
In it the woman's immersed up to her neck in the water of the pool, while a star shines above. It gives a tremendous feeling of serenity.
Blessings,
Kate
