What methods do you use for double divination?
I 've tried placing runes on top of the cards in a CC spread. The runes I have are beautiful, but I've never been able to get into the meanings.
I sometimes use Mixed Emotions cards (http://www.mixed-emotions.com/) After laying out my Tarot CC, I shuffle and lay out the mixed emotions cards in the same CC, placing the emotion cards right next to each tarot card. I find the emotion cards get right to root of what the tarot card is trying to say. Sometimes the two cards look so different it almost doesn't make sense. It's like the tarot cards show the conscious level and the emotion cards shows the subconscious.

I've never used combinated methods. I have a hard time enough using only one.
Just wanted to say i like those mixed-emotions cards. I like those drawings and they look good. So... thanks for that link. :)

Since I've bought Goddesses Knowledge Cards, I use them for my daily reading along with my tarot cards. I'm looking forward to buy Animals Knowledge Cards to add them to the Goddesses. I ask to my guide what I have to learn today, or what he/she wants to teach me today.

Inana, I know what you mean. I too have a hard enough time with just tarot. I use the second form of divination as a type of "elaborator spread" that compliments the first. I don't do this regularly though, only when I'm feeling adventurous. :)

I sometimes ask I Ching to clarify a card in a spread.

Jen, here's a thought for your double divination, I use 2 rider decks at the same time for this. Out of 156 cards & if you pull 2 the same I think it is a good indication of what the cards are trying to tell you. Just a thought!

From time to time I'll use a combination of Tarot and Astrological Dice for a reading - normally using the dice to elaborate on one or more cards during the reading.

I find the use of 2 decks helpful. I do my main spread with my Universal Waite deck. After looking at and analyzing the spread, I then lay my Osho Zen cards next to the spread positions and use them as modifiers/clarifiers.
The Osho deck brings out details or aspects of the Universal Waite that need emphasis or further direction. Sometimes I get things like Death reversed (UW) and Transition reversed (OZ) which really emphasizes things..
It works well for me but so far I have been generally using only small spreads and not larger ones like the CC. I just use the CC for "wisdom of the tarot".
Part of this might be I am still learning the UW but have used the OZ for several years and am more comfortable with it. To me OZ really zeros in.

There was a time when I wanted to try and combine tarot with astrology. Where all I needed was their birth date and watch where their sign showed up in the reading. but I was never able to quite do that. I mean there's the obvious ones but what about the rest of the deck? I thought that there was a chart on it somewhere but I havn't found it yet.

I use astrology and numerology, plus my psychic ability. I find implementing all these methods helps to clarify and even double checks my interruptions. I also feel all these methods weave together to make a picture.

Oh, I like the idea of using two decks at once-thanks, ros and DH. Call me ignorant, but I'd never thought of that before.

For runes, go to the Divination section here on Aeclectic Tarot.
Recently I did a spread that involved Runes, Soul Cards, and Tarot. They worked well together.

Great link, thanks, great cards/images, I have never heard of them before. The images seem really powerful, they jump right out at you.

I haven't done it many times, but the few that i have were really powerful. Basically i just did a Celtic Cross and then any cards/positions that i had questions about, i laid down a Healing WIth The Angels Oracle card down on top of that card to clarify it's meaning. It worked wonderfully! Also i should note that before laying down any of the oracle cards, i asked them the same question and shuffled them before laying any down.
See you on Wednesday Jen!

I've seen someone use Crystal Ally cards in combination with tarot, and that seemed to work really well for them. Personally, I've been wanting to use my Moon Oracle with a spread. I'll have to try it sometime soon. One thing that the Moon Oracle can add to a spread is timing. Even just reading through the book, I thought of a couple of different ways I could use the deck in combination with the tarot.
The Triple Goddess Tarot comes with a set of chakra cards that you can use with the rest of the deck during a reading or as a sort of clarification method. I've had good results laying down the chakra cards as clarification to indicate what chakra I should work on or could help the situation.
Other than that, I haven't really used another oracle in combo with tarot.

I find using the Quest Tarot useful for this. The cards also have runes, I-Ching, crystals, numerology, hebrew letter, astrological sign etc etc connected to them. Mostly I dont use the other divinations on the cards (but then I'm a beginner with this deck) but I have found some of these 'extras' useful.

That's one of the reasons I wanted the Quest Tarot :)
I don't use double divination methods, although I'm wondering if I can somehow use my pendulum in combination with a tarot reading to give me greater clarification. I think I'll experiment with it.
After looking at those Mixed Emotion cards I almost want to buy them, but I resist, yet again :) I can get more in-depth answers from the Tarot.

My favorite right now is the S. Alasia Tarot of the Egyptians (book/deck set, book with Berti/Gonard) and a pick from the Book of Doors, which seems more like 'trumps' or gods/goddesses. It would be like a Mantegna trumps pull on top of a tarot pull. This is for learning mainly, I'm not actually reading too much into this experiment.
Something that I started doing is using the LS Tarot of the Gothic Vampires for a storyline and a corresponding pull in the AGMueller Roots of Asia. They both have a dark synergy for a storyline, although I'd say they were melancholy or moody overall. Since the Roots of Asia is quite Buddhist, I feel like I am mixing oracles, to say the least.
I do use Visconti Gold and Italian Milanese decks in other tarot comparisons and I don't think there is any actual correspondence, sometimes just some imaginative associations for creative thoughts or humor.
