Hi everyone I'm new to this forum but I play around with tarot a little. I was wondering if any of you get a feeling of energy on top of your head when useing tarot. Soon as I shuffle the cards it's like a huge flow of enegy or something is flowing or touching my head. I really can't read tarot like I said I just play around with it.
Also I'm very sensitive, which is hard do deal with because I'm a guy lol.

Cool! :D
Sounds like your Crown chakra is opening.... do you do meditation or anything like that?
Do you know about chakras?
Also, you state you are 'sensitive'...... Do you mean you are extra emotional or you 'sense' things, like what people are thinking or feeling ?

Well I'm aware of the crown chakra and I think that might be what is going on with me. About sensitivity it's emotional but I think it is because some how I tend to pick up on other energy from people around me. I have to visualize a bright light around me for protection against channeling peoples energy.
I tried meditating to open my 3rd chrakra but I don't feel anything.

Do you have any books about yoga or meditation or chakras? If so, can you list their titles? Which ones have you read?

I don't remember what book I used but I do remember visualizing like a beam of color or colors that pretain to that chrakra. I kind of just visualied them flowing through me and slowly opening the chrakras.

Well, meditation will enhance the process.... You want to do this gradually, however, and not force chakras to open.
Meditation is actually an old, old practice and there are learned methods that have been developed to protect the practitioner from opening chakras too soon.... there is such a thing as 'kundalini psychosis' that can occur if you go too aggressively.
It sounds like the energy (kundalini) is already moving, so go gently. The kundalini will naturally do its work in the chakras.
It is important that you stay grounded when you meditate, so sit on the ground, hold a rock or envision roots going from the base of your spine to the center of the earth.....
Don't force the energy to move! This is very important in the beginning....
There are excellent books available for meditation. I would recommend checking some out from the library and following them, rather than experimenting.
It should move easily for you, as it is already moving.... but problems can arise if you move too fast.
The most important aspect to learn is breathing. So, if you can get a book or even take a Yoga class, you will be ensured of doing it correctly. :)

Breathing is very important it's the basis of meditation, I think a beginners Yoga course would be very beneficial in your case.

I never really thought about this like this... but I do a lot of yoga, meditation, etc... and yes, I pick up people's feelings and thoughts. so do you think that the feeling of energy touching my head is due to my crown chakra opening up. my sleep pattern has changed where now I do not require as much sleep as possible... I have become even more highly interested and involved in the metaphysical subjects (I also do astrology)... I am more aware of what someone is all about... when I sleep I dream of people telling me things. like for instance, had a dream about a little girl one night... just saw her. and then another night (a few nights after), had a dream about a little girl and I was asking her questions and she was giving me the answers... it was very short, to the point, and then I woke up... but I was aware of the dream all along.
what do you make of this? thanks.

Adele... sounds like you're on the right track..... yes, we do haave changes in our life patterns when we meditate and do Yoga.... --essentially, we're balancing our systems.
Some people keep dream journals. You may want to start doing that. Often, the clarity about dream material comes later....
Is it possible that the little girl in your dream is you? That you have contacted your Inner Child? that is the part of the balancing that occurs.... we lose contact with our inner child as we mature, but we need to utilize many of the perceptions and wisdom of that little one......
You might want to get some books on meditation .... many of them explain about the energy movements we experience during meditation.... :)

hi Skytwig, I have very powerful dreams and I remember all my dreams, etc. I also always write them down... and I find that when I do this my dreams become even more clear, etc. I have thought about the little girl being me... but I also thought it could be my spirit guide. I have had dreams where people tell me things, give me info that is correct.. I have also had visions of things in my dreams that come out true. I always believe whatever I need to know will reveal itself to me sooner or later. I do a lot of meditation and yoga as well... my moon sits in the 12th hse in my chart and it is great for spirituality.

That sounds like you are tapping into the ether. I am sure it is a good sign of energy, you are just sensitive, do not worry. When I place objects or someone touches my 3rd eye I feel queasy in the stomach.
