I did it

I finally read for a total stranger. Online no less.

The person I read for was also a novice reader and had asked if anyone wanted to trade readings with her. After a few moments of telling myself I could do it, and I would never know unless I tried, I offered.

The first problem to surface occurred when I went to the other room to get my cards. Which deck? All 41 decks seemed to beg pick me, pick me, as I approached the bookcase. I closed my eyes reached out and picked up the deck that from study was the most familiar. Now to pick a spread... One image flashed in my mind... white letters on a purple field... 3 card spreads and lots of them... (Thanks Umbrae!)

She asked her question, I shuffled and layed 3 cards, and FROZE! A couple of deep breaths and a long gulp of water and I started typing. It was rough, at first but the more I saw and typed the easier it became. I will spare you all the details. Let's just say it wasn't as smooth as the readings in our exchange forum, but I didn't fall flat on my face either. :)

Good for you. Now there is no stopping you. You build confindence one reading at a time. I have done a few of them on line & I do the three cards & then I take a book from one deck of cards that I'm not sure of, checking my meanings & type it out. It works & I learn new meanings. In personal readings I just use cards. Keep going!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dead Star

You will know when You are ready.
For me the #1 clue was when I lost the argument with myself about why I shouldn't.

Congratulations, lady medusa.

When I first started to do readings for strangers, I was very afraid I was going to fail completely. Now, after a while, I'm getting to the conclusion that for me it's easier to read for strangers... I just have to trust 100% on my cards and reveal what they say. Hope you do the same... if so, everything will be fine.
