Totally in fun...
On Saturday, November 8, a rare Grand Sextile of Planets will take
place during a total lunar eclipse. This extraordinary astrological
and extremely positive event has not occurred in at least 6,000 years
Got an oracle or pretty sign of the season either today or this weekend?
For me, the cheery thing came yesterday and the arrival today of a funny 1972 University Books edition of the Rider Waite. I like the fact the garish bright colors of the 1972 Rider Waite reminds me of the 1992 reprinting of the U.S. Games edition in the popular press now.
Because all in all, I prefer the $8.00 U.S. Games 1971 Rider Waite Smith in light and crisp matte tone edition with the clearest and delicate tones where light gray, pink, olive and blue doesn't bleed into purple and yellow...
The cheery thing of yesterday is my precious Egyptian Tarot deck and book. I'm pretending it's my gift from 6,000 years of human history...
Cheers,
Mari H.

My cheery thing is the 1971 RWS you just sent me, Mari!
Believe or not, I've never had this deck, in all the time I have studied tarot, so I am especially pleased.
Thankyouthankyouthankyou!
:D
How nice of you to bring this up, since for me, you are the purveyor of my good fortune on this Harmonic day!

We just had a gorgeous sunset here, in North San Diego County. However, the clouds may prevent seeing the lunar eclipse at all. The moon rose several minutes ago, and I haven't been able to glimpse it yet. The clouds are patchy, so there's still hope. Rain is a slight possibility here tonight, and we need rain anyway, so maybe that would be better than a glimpse of the moon.
It's 5:26 PM where I am.
Brightest Blessings,
Nevada

obscured by clouds (says the closet Floyd fan).
very unfortunate not to have an airplane at this moment.
still and all, a lunar eclipse is a wonderful event.

I stayed up late to watch the eclispe with my girlfriend, furry demons playing around our legs.
Its great when something comes along that makes you realise how truley grand it is to be alive. :)

Well, being in the Southern Hemisphere, we did not see it.
Officially the eclipse occurred at 12.10pm Sunday, Australian time - today actually.
I lit a candle, and burned some lavendar oil.
Last night, the full Moon was beautifully clear and low in the sky. I felt a really benign influence as I drove home, and later as I watched Moon from my kitchen window.

...no damage reports, no downed power lines yet...a blessing, as my work is with municipal electricity...
Stay safe, all! We missed the red moon, but the blessing of a balmy break and rain, hopefully to fill reservors and cool the fires of the dry deserts...
Best wishes and blessings for happy readings in colder times...

The eclipse was beautiful here in Pittsburgh, USA!! Wonderfully clear skies!! I was soooo amazing.
I decided with all the energy this eclipse and the harmonic concordance was generating it would be a good idea for me to draw 2 cards. One for what I should release and one for what I should draw to me.
I used the Servants of the Light deck (which is my deck for serious use). I drew the 9 of Staves for what to release and the 9 of Cresents for what to draw to myself.
I took that to mean I needed to release old, no longer useful, protections I had built up in the past. And in doing so would beable to be more open to the love, joy and happiness that is out there for me, but I had been blocking with these un-needed protections I still had up! I also thought it was kind of interesting that I got two 9's!! :)
It was just an all around cool night!!!!

I know this reply is late but the most extraodinary thing happened to me on the weekend of the lunar eclipse.
A few days before the actual night I made a new friend. This friend asked me if I wanted to stay the night in a haunted castle on the following Saturday. Even though this person was more or less a complete stranger to me, I knew that I was going to answer 'yes'.
Saturday came and as a group of us made our way up towards the castle, I recieved a text message off a friend telling me that there was an important planet alignment combined with a lunar eclipse going to happen just after midnight!
It was strange because it was as if something made me go up there on this special night. I watched the eclipse from a castle tower where we had set up camp. It was strange really because at the time, I was going through a strange time in my life and being up there just seemed to make things easier and also awakened a new found strength and determination in me.
The funny thing is the friend I made has just vanished into thin air. I have never come accross that person since that night.
A time in my life I will never forget.

Oh Siwan! What an amazing experience that sounds like....
When those amazing people disappear like that, don't you wonder if you met an angel or guide, or something?
Your story reminds me of my own castle and eclipse tale ... I was atop the ruins of Castle Poenari, in the remote western region of Romania's Carpathian mountains, during the August 99 solar eclipse. It was one of the best places to view the eclipse's totality in the world, and we got there on a whim ....
The castle once belonged to Vlad Tepesche, the Romanian ruler whom the Dracula stories are believed to be based off of. It is also the place where legned has it the stones are still red with the princess' blood, after she threw herself to her death from the tower, believing her husband dead and the enemy outside (the same myth seen by Francis Ford Coppola in his Dracula).
The stones there are a natural resource of rose quartz. So yes, her blood runs through them still.
(And, you have to climb over 1039 step to get to the top. You *really* have to wanna see this place in order to get there... but what a great stronghold.)

Alissa wow that sounds so amazing!
I love Romania! Even though I haven't been there yet, it is one of my favourite places in Europe! I think a lot of it is because of the dracula connections that surround the country with stories of Vlad The Impaler!
I came so close to visiting there once while on a trio of Eastern Europe but money was short and I had to turn back for home. It was so frustrating becuase at the time I was in Hungary! The country just seems very mysterious and full of old traditions. I would really like to visit the village of sighisoara, did you go there whilst on your travels?
I agree about the 'friend' maybe being someone that was meant to be part of my life for a brief time, like some sort of spirit guide. It's like that poem 'Season, Reason, Lifetime' which describes the different types of people that touch you during your life.
Hopefully one day I will be lucky enough to visit the Carpathian mountains of Romania!
Can I ask what sort of things did you feel while you were in this place?

Can I ask what sort of things did you feel while you were in this place? I thought it was a blast! Not creepy in the least ... except for the Goth weirdos from other parts of the world who were also there. ;)
This photo, if I can get it attached, is a small shot of the tower view of the ruins, and the twilight look of the light is the coming eclipse.
Beautiful green mountains, they remind me a lot of where I live now, truthfully. In fact, I kept thinking that while travelling by train from Budapest into Bucharest, "Geez, I came all this way ... and it looks just like home."

This almost sounds like a fantastic short story, or the very least, a very thrilling poetic episode to remember.
Cheers and thanks,
