If you recall I was really pensive about buying a new deck after so many years of not reading and a 'bad' experience. Well I can honestly say that with the advise and support I have had off you guys I took the plunge and went out and invested in the Sacred Circle deck!
Not sure what gave me the nudge really. I guess it was hearing that others have had their fingers burnt in the past and that many people don't read for themselves for the same reason that I stopped.
I also have my eye on Tarot of the old Path and The Arthurian decks...one extreme to the other, thats me all over (never do things in halves ;o)
Thanks again!!!

I love the Sacred Circle. Though I suspect the images of 'real' individuals (as others have said) may take a little getting used to. Larger than I thought too.
I have been tempted to get a Morgan Greer deck - we'll see.
I live near Glastonbury in Somerset - steeped in Arthurian legend, hence the Arthurian Tarot being on its way.
I also read a post recently about the Spiral Tarot. It emphasised the readers dissapointment at the Minors being contemporary as opposed to the Majors being traditional. Initial feelings are I agree - though I haven't seen the whole pack yet.
Tarot of the Old Path looks like my cup of tea! I love decks with lots going on in the background. You know the type that change each time you see them. I only wish that the Old Path was a little darker in hues.

I can sense a little budding tarothollism here ;)
I think that you should get Morgan Greer and Tarot of the Old Path as well (for comparitive study of course)
Go on, you know you neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed them :D

Craghopper, one cannot have too many decks :D Variety is the spice of life!
The Sacred Circle is beautiful, It is one I have on my list as well, I think you will enjoy it. I read Legend : Arthurian almost exclusivly for years, because I love old and ancient things. I have since retired (for now) them simply because I find them too "dark" for me now.
My two main reading decks are Quest and Rohrig. Depends on my mood. :D
Congradulations on making the leap again. Happy to have you in our circle! ;)

I don't own the Sacrid Circle but I have seen it and I think it is lovely. Even with the pictures. Sometimes that bothers me and sometimes it doesn't. congrats on your new deck!

Congratulations on your new Sacred Circle deck!
I also *adore* Arthurian legend ... studied it in college. I own the Arthurian Legend deck too, it's based off the Mallory version of the medieval tales. It's a nice deck, one I use for personal use only.
You know, crag, there's a big ole Aeclectic gathering that's in the works for August 13-15 in Glastonbury next year. *Some* of us are flying half way around the world to attend ... I hope you'll join us, especially since it's so convenient. Talk to Kiama if you're interested, she's organizing the event, or check out the threads on Glastonbury (in the Advertisements/Events area I believe).

Craghopper, congratulations on getting "back on the horse" -- any learning process involves some less-than-happy experiences along the way, but the rewards are worth it. As for having too many decks, I'm with Majecot -- it isn't possible! :)
