Tarot decks for Christmas?

Thread originally posted on the Aeclectic Tarot Forum on 11 Nov 2003, and now archived in the Forum Library.

This year, my boyfriend and I are telling each other one thing that we'd really like to get but that our family and friends won't give us, so that we can get it for each other.

I'm thinking of asking for a tarot deck, but I'm not sure which one - there are so many beautiful ones out there. Price range would be up to about £30 (that's about $45), as that's about our limit.

Thank you for any advice you can give.

Since you like darker things, how about The Gothic Tarot and the Madame Endora's Fortune Cards. They are each $15. I planning on ordering them in the future.

Oops, well Dark_angel I see from another post you already have the Gothic.
Well, Here are some decks I'm looking at the you can't buy in stores:

Tarot of Prague (seems to be a very loved deck)
Tarot of the Timeless Truth
Illuminated Tarot (I already have the medium, thinking about getting the large)
MerryDay Tarot
Endora's Fortune Cards

Do you already have the Fantastical?

My advice is to pick out something rare and unusual, which will more than likely involve more $$. The reason I say this is that things we give and receive for holidays are often things that we wouldn't feel justified in purchasing for ourselves. The perfect way to aquire things in this category is to receive them as gifts! So pick something extravagant that you've really wanted for a while but haven't been able to bring yourself to buy!

Hmmm, I'm definitely tempted by the Tarot of Prague. Possibly too pricey though. We're severely impoverished students.

Madame Endora's Fortune Cards have been on my wishlist for a while now, so they're a candidate...

...any other suggestions?

Thanks for all your help, you guys.

Dark Angel the Tarot of Prague only costs £25 for the deck and book set. The shipping to the UK is £3. It's well worth the money.

Love and light

In that case, Sulis, I think we may well have a winner! Time to drop some not-too-subtle hints...

lol.

Thanks.
