I thought it would be interesting to brainstorm on what kind of things tarot cards can be used for. To encourage audience participation, you can only list _two_ things at a time. Unless this thread slows down, you cannot post again except after someone else has already posted their contribution.
I'll start.
Things you can do with tarot cards:
(1) Brainstorming/Lateral Thinking
(2) Appreciating the artwork of the cards. It's like an art gallery of 78 works of art.

1) Archetype exploration
2) Story-telling
Hey Rusty (whoo, I get all "Starlight Express" saying that...! :) ) - would you explain lateral thinking to me? I've heard the concept before, but noone has ever been able to explain it to me... Maybe you have a link to a good site about it? *curious*

Collages.
Decoupage (I hate that word. Never done it, this is prolly why.)
Drinking games (flicking them across the room at a target? Will try this and get back to you).
A tarot house of cards has the potential to be amazing, I think. Hmmmm...never really even tried it with playing cards.

Tarot can be used to help you get your daily fibre quota. (Mmm, tasty...)
Tarot can be used in place of written notes to your housemates. (10 of Wands - I've gone to town, 3 of Cups - party tonight, 8 of Cups - I've gone for a walk, 8 of Pentacles - I'm studying for tomorrow's exam.)

Playing solitaire (I used to do this all the time)
Remove the major arcana and play poker. Use the fool and the magician for jokers.
Use the image for a writing exercise, or a poem.

VGimlet, when you use a tarot deck to play solitaire, do you leave the Majors in?
If so, how does that work?
Curious minds (who love solitaire) want to know...;)

Roll around in the cards skyclad, like you're Demi Moore in Indecent Proposal (tarotphile that I am, money would still be better in that particular scenario).
Or, choose the newest deck in the cabinet at Borders to see up-close, so you can get that fine-looking specimen of masculinity to retrieve it for you... ;)
At the very least, tarot deck boxes make fine surfaces for dust cultures.

When I play solitaire I do leave the majors in, but I put an extra row on the end. I don't know how it works mathematically, (probably doesn't, LOL) but it was fun. :D

It doesn't even need to be giant sized: simply fan out the cards of a normal-sized Tarot deck, and hey presto! A practical and colourful fan. :D
