Click on tarot to the right and there are winter solstice and a summer reading (for those down under facing heat).

I'm trying something different than my old methods of reading...
Do you have a different way of reading certain decks? What are your favorite decks and methods?
For learning new decks I like the single and three-card past/present/future draws.
For Thoth-based decks, I actually like to consult booklets and my take on the pictures second. I find the pictures more abstract.
I found that I'm more familiar with Marseilles tarots first, so pictorial elements and then my take on what the numbers are in context come in second. For a three of Cups, for instance, I might remember the Empress of the majors, then the three graces in context. For the three of swords, I might think of the Empress as a mother remember a kind of heartbreak scene. I'm thinking my pictures are now mixed with Rider Waite style memories, as well, so it's refreshing to get a new deck...but I'm experimenting with new ways of reading in the next few weeks...
