Has anyone had this happen??
I have had some of the same decks for close to 8 years and I carry them all over the place. I am very careful with my cards and I have never "lost" one until now.
My newest reading deck The Quest, is missing a card. I noticed Sunday nite that it was not in my deck bag. I am devastated!!
I have searched my house high and low, my car, my work bag. Even the refridgerator!! MY Chariot has disapeared!
I keep thinking that it is here on another plane and that it will come back, but so far it has not turned up in the bag ( or anywhere else for that matter). I think it must mean something... I misplace things all the time, but never my cards.
edited to say, I did order a new card, but I am still disturbed by it's disapearance.

Perhaps it will still turn up.

Well, you could always use the blank card that comes with the deck. Perhaps draw your own version of the missing card until the new one arrives. Or use the Multiuniverse card, I think that's what it's called. Although I'm sure you've figured this all out for yourself.

I had this happen to me with my Universal Waite. I could swear the Star was there when I bought it, but it has since disappeared.
Annoying, because it is one of my favorite cards.
Unlike you, I never did anything about it, and the deck now sits lonely and forlorn on my shelf.

Hi Majecot
Can Joseph Martin help out?? May be worth a try. I have the Quest also and one thing just occurred to me. Maybe the UFO's have got it??? hahahha.. I know its not a laughing matter though, I would be devastated.

I have a friend who has had things of her possession simply disappear for a short while (not cards, though), and reappearing after a moment.
And during a channelling session, she got the information that things can dematerialise and rematerialise, if need be.
For her, it was a gold necklace, and it was to attract her attention to the fact that at that moment, she was clinging too much to material things. After she realised this, the necklace reappeared...
So, your chariot is missing. What specific meaning to you attach right now to this card? What would this card mean to your life right now? Try to decipher the message and ask your spiritual guides to rematerialise your card when you are ready for it...
I know this sounds weird, but my friend was positive about this, and she showed me the dis- and afterwards re-appeared necklace!
Enjoy your day anyway!
Love and light

Well I had thought about waiting until it decided to come back and I do use the blank card, but for me it is just not the same.
I finally decided that the only way to make it come back was to get a new one :)
I have had crystals disapear out of their houses, but never a card. I have had other things disapear and re-apear, so I am SURE it will come back sooner or later.
I have been trying to think what the message may be, but my thinking is too clouded I guess, ( I was COMPLETELY obsessed when I discovered it was gone)
I have had the Chariot come up in readings over the past month or so, but I am not disiplined at writing them all down so I cannot pinpoint the exact day I saw it.
And I thought I could scry for it ( but that did not work as I really do not know how :joke:
Thanks for your support

What I'm about to say is gonna sound kooky, but, this is what I do ... and I swear to god it often works.
Wherever your deck was when you think the card went missing (a room you keep it in, whatever), go there and say *out loud* that you want your card back. Say why you need it, not just that you *want* it. Need, genuine need, draws things to us the simple "wants" cannot.
For me, a day or two later, usually in the same room I "lost" it, i will "find" the item I'm missing ... often somewhere I know I already looked, but it seems as if it's placed before my path to find it again.
All I can figure out from this is that once the item is noticed as being absent, and then is called upon in need, it often will reappear. Weird, I know but I swear to god it's happened to me, lots.

Alissa: Very interesting, I ought to try that since I'm losing things all the time.
Majecot: First of all, I love your name.
Second of all, I haven't had that happen with any of my cards but perhaps you should try drawing a simple blueprint of your house and using a pendulum to try to pinpoint what area of the house it is in. I've heard other ppl on the forum have tried this and had success. Good luck :)

Jessie thank you :)
I did try that but I really do not know what I am doing, so it did not move for me...
But I think I may tell it that I need it like Alissa suggests.. Even though I have another one coming in the mail I would rather have my original.

I have done readings where sometimes one card will fall out or be under a paper or on the floor or whatever so the client cannot pick it or only pick it once. This has happened more than once, I am very carefull because I figure it is may fault for not being carefull enough, But It can't happen often or can it? The last time it happened it was the 2 of cups & the lady kept going on about her relationship & the card was not on the table & at the end of the reading it was sitting where I place my pile when I'm reading. I am sure it was not their after she had picked it once, because as I said before I watch!
So I don't know, but if you find you're card let the thoughts go of where it was because you can drive yourself nuts!!! lol

Diana do you have a missing item spread?
I did call for it but nothing has happened so far.

Majecot: The Power Tarot book has a Lost and Found spread.
1) The object that is lost
2) Something you need to know
3-4) Where to begin your search
5) Who or what will help
6-7) Factors to be considered in your search
8-10) Outcome
However, if you do a Past/Present/Future spread only with the Majors, I will see if I can read it for you. (I found my car-keys that way - they were in the letterbox for some obscure reason). I can't guarantee I can help, but I would be most willing to try.
ros: 9 of Coins made me think it is stuck between two leaves of a book. Or it got put in another deck by mistake.

If the deck used was a Rider Waite type deck, possibly. Then one could use it as a kind of an oracle deck. (Well, you know me, I think Rider Waite decks are Oracles.) If it's not a Rider Waite, then I don't see any garden there.

maybe...prehaps....the missing card could mean that it's a lesson you have to learn.
maybe you have put off learning the lesson for some time, and now's the time to learn it... OR it could be a message to help you in whatever's going on in your life.
when im shuffling my cards and some "accidently" fall, i see what they mean, and more so then often it's answers im looking for.
good luck!

Sometimes my LWB and cards get switched if I change bags and I find a card
1) on the floor of my car, under the seat
2) in the original box
3) in back of another card, where it became sticky because of weather, newness, etc. I will be placing things in different order--majors, courts, cards by suit--and I'll rediscover it.
4) with the other deck that I was doing a comparison reading with.
I hope you find your original card sometime. Best wishes,
Mari H.

TemperanceAngel- no I haven't yet, I am off tomorrow so I am going to look through the whole house again.. I Definately think it is hiding from me. I am sure there is a lesson I am missing as well.
( you lost 9 cards!?! OMG)
A funny thing happened on the way to the forum :joke:, last Friday, I could not wait to get to the post office after work. I was so SURE my new card was waiting for me. I turned the key and opened the door and.. yep there was one single piece of mail in there. A brown padded envelope. I ran back to my card "Woo hoo! it's here" rip open the envelope, pull out the card and I just sat there staring.. It was The Chariot alright, but it was the Chariot from Legend... a deck that I have had for eight years. I was stunned, I never mentioned that deck when I called the publisher..
That was just the stangest thing. so when I got home, I took that deck out to double check and make sure my Chariot was still there.. and to make sure my Quest Chariot wasn't hiding there.
All was good in that respect. So I am stll waiting for my replacement card. I think maybe tomorrow might be the day for that too.
*sighs*

When I first started using the Spiral I regularly got the Empress card, after a couple of weeks of use I noticed that I hadn't pulled her for ages so I looked through the deck, no Empress card. I turned my dining room upside down looking for that card, I hadn't took the deck anywhere so I knew it was still in the house. I eventually found it sat next to my pc, right in view - if there was a moral to that tale I never found it lol - except that my dining room had a really good tidy out :D

I FOUND IT!!!!!!!
It was hiding, and some how I managed to not sweep it up last week when I was doing the "clean sweep" in every room of the house searching for my Chariot.
That little rascal!
Well today, I wasn't even looking for it. I was busy bee in the house.. as usual on my days off, doing laundry, stripping the beds, cleaning floors... and so on. All that Susy Homemaker crap, and as I was cleaning my room I was on my hands and knees making sure I did not have any stray socks under the furniture... and something just didn't look right under my dresser. Now mind you I looked under EVERY piece of furniture in the house for the last week looking for that darn card. and here I was looking for of all things... and there it was, face down on the floor ( hardwood so it was hard to see) MY CHARIOT! :D:D:D
maybe my lesson was to learn not to obsess about it??
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!
P.S. I think I will frame the other two "extra" Chariots and hang them on the wall ;)

Majecot good news and now you have three.
When I purchased a set of Titania's Fortune Cards, there was an extra card in the set. It was the book which can be a symbol of publishing. At the time I was writing a children's picture story book. I took it as an omen that I should send it to a publisher. I did send it but alas - it was rejected.....
On the lost and found matter.....Once at my mother's beach house, my aunty lost her medicine container. There were about ten of us looking for it. I used divination to find it for her.
I thought I'd share my method, just in case you need to track your socks in the future.
I didn't have my pendulum with me, but I had a crystal necklace. I sat in a quiet moment and asked the pendulum a series of eliminating questions to pinpoint the location of the medicine. Things like....is it in the house? Is it in the car? Then one by one, I asked if it were in each room. Is it in the kitchen? etc etc.
I told her it was in my mum's bedroom. She didn't believe me because she thought she'd thoroughly looked. But the pendulum swing was adamant...so I pressed her to look again. She found it. In her handbag, in my mum's bedroom. She said she'd already searched her handbag and it wasn't there. She thought I must have put it there. Obviously I didn't.
Also, I have a set of divining rods. I didn't really believe them at first but I was asking them to lead me to simple items like the fridge and sure enough, as I walked around the house, the two rods crossed only when I stood in front of the fridge.
The interesting things about both divining rods and the pendulum is that there is some controversy as to whether we are subconsciously controlling the direction/swing. Some believe our higher sElves already know the answers and that pendulum is just one way of tapping into that resource.
Cheers and good luck with your three cards.

:D Did you ask for it back? This sounds *exactly* like what happens to me ... notice the item is missing, request it back, and once I forget about it, voici. The missing item is placed in my path for me to find.

I think it's great you thanked your Chariot for coming back!
Now, how about a reading for why it "disapparated" :joke: ? Like a three cards spread:
1. Which (unconscious) decision did I take for it to get lost?
2. What does my card want to tell me (what's the message)?
3. What can I do about it (to integrate the message into my life)?
:) just made this up ;) but think it could be worth it...
I'll keep it in mind for myself for next time I loose something

Hi, Majecot
Yes (humble shy nod) - at half past seven or so in the morning, drowsy as I am at those moments, I have no filter on my ideas, and just make up spreads momentarily... :joke:
But that is how it mostly works for me: I rarely use "classic" spreads, make them up for each situation, and if I do use a "classic" one, not without at least "Simone-izing" it    so that all my spreads and readings are custom-made to fit ;)

Oh and - edited to add - : I would love to see results, to see if the spreas keeps its promises :) :) :) !
