Don't ask me why I bought this deck.. but I just received Sasha Fentons Tarot yesterday..
Ok so maybe I was in shopaholic mode or something when I did this.. I never saw this deck or heard of it before, and it certianly wasn't on my wish list... and I have been very very good about staying away form Ebay lately..
The next thing I know is .. I have a new deck.
This picture on Ebay did not even show the faces. but the box was pretty, and I liked the backs.. :|
I did not open them right away, but I finally did today, you know, just to see what the heck it was I just purchased. I am not sure yet, but I think I may even like them. :D They do not have illustrated pips, which is a first for me.
I am not going to try to read them yet, I am, for now just going to reflect on the "whys" of my impulsive buy, and the "hows" of not making anymore impulsive purchases..
My S/O just told me I am financially grounded.. ( we are trying to save money for a house).
So with my head bowed.. I am now on tarotholic watch.. ok, really it is shopaholic watch.. so if you hear me even about buying a new deck... smack my hand.
(but it was a pretty box..)

Tell him it's an investment that you can recoup costs on in triplicate in maybe 2 decades. Would that help?

Hi Majecot -
Sounds like the Prediction Tarot , reviewed on this very site :-)
I hate when Ebay sellers do not provide accurate (or even worse , actively misleading) descriptions of their item . Also surprises me how often there is *no* description - who buys an item that isn't described or perhaps even named ??
regards ,

ribbitcat, normaly I don't shop that blindly. but something came over me that day I guess...lol, compulsive shopping is what it boils down to. Maybe I was trying to get it all out of my system before the new year started... who knows. For a while at least.. until we are in our new house ( when ever that will be, hopefully we find something soon) I will be spending only with basic necessities in mind. (wish me luck) He is trying to make sure that we are well padded finacially by the time we move in. (how boring is that!)
So I have grounded myself from Ebay, Victoria Secrets, (and even Joanne Fabrics :( ) till we move.

Majecot: I, too bought the Sasha Fenton Tarot some time ago because the bright colours on the box called to me. It represents my first non-illustrated pip deck, albeit unwittingly.
It was not until I opened it that I saw the Majors depicted with few symbols, even rather plain & the minor arcana are not illustrated. Since I like the bright colours & first read with regular playing cards, I got somewhat acquainted with it by using it for daily cards. I have been able to read with it passably well. I think that is due to liking the graphics, which seem to be on the light-hearted side (but that may be due to the colours). I find this deck is suitable to read for a broad clientele, including the very young. & great for when one wants to avoid illustrated minors.
