Tarot Everyday?

Do you use your cards everyday & when morning, noon or night? I seem to use them all the time or I don't touch them. My best part of the day I think would be morning.

I pretty much use mine every day.. Evening has now become the best time for me to read. But even if I don't read I am sometimes just looking at them before I go to sleep.

I used to do some early morning 4 card readings, but now I do those readings before I go to bed. Actually I take the deck of my choice, which stays with me for the whole week, and pick up three cards. But throughout the day, when I am free, I would take one card, and see how far I advanced and to meditate on the theme, or to look into some specific inquiry. I also consult one of the non-tarot decks for some change, once every other day or so, to view different themes and insights anytime , as needed . Yes I do look at my decks throughout the day, and sometimes just decide to do one of those extensive spreads .

Yep! ...everyday. Early morning or before bed, depending on my sleep schedule. I make sure to adjust accordingly, to allow time for my cards. I just can't help myself, I gotta have my tarot! :D

Since I work unsupervised, I can get away with this. :) I don't always do a reading with the cards, but I usually at least shuffle them while I am reading a book or a newspaper. I will do an occasional 3-card reading for myself. Bob :THERM

I go through phases when I pull daily cards in the mornings for months, then I take a break. I usually read for other people once-to-several times a week, and I carry a deck with me everywhere I go! But even when I don't draw daily cards, I like to stay regular, whether that's doing a weekly spread, a monthly spread or a three-monthly spread. And I read anything I can get my hands on! Usually from the library, this site, or my own journals.

During Uni term-time I rarely have time to use my cards every day, though I'm on Aeclectic every day, so I'm still studying them. During non-term time however, I tend to use the cards between morning and midday, taking and hour or half hour to just explore them in any way I wish. It's a relaxing way to have quiet-time. Kiama

Just about every single morning I pull a rune, and then several Tarot cards for daily "looks" (one from my Universal Waite, from my Decameron, and usually one from my Faery Oracle). I will often pull a card for my dream Faerie at night as well. I read cards whenever the mood strikes me, or my friends, at any time, day or night. While I don't read every day (not even close) I do pull cards and touch certain decks, at some point, just about every single day.

Since I was found by the Gendron, I've been carrying it to work with me and pulling a card for the daily draw (on another website). It's been such an awesome learning experience, b/c so many of us there are newbies. I also like to pull a Faerie card at night...since they're so dreamy.

I don't have time to read every day, or even every week. I do spend time learning about something tarot every day. I am either reading a book, or referencing historical facts based on tarot interests. Not to mention my near constant AT presence.......

I try to do a daily draw first think in the morning before I start work, just one or two cards for the day then bigger spreads have to wait until I have the time. I have a couple of spreads I'm itching to try but haven't found the time yet, one of them is a past life I found in a magazine - I might make it special and do it on the New Year. :) Edited to add:- I'll post the spread and layout on here once I've tried it :)

I don't specifically read the cards every day, but I do some tarot-related activity every day, including checking out the Aeclectic forums several times a day. Some days I do professional readings, some days I write a tarot review, some days I just look through some deck which I had forgotten all about, and suddenly been reminded about by a post on Aeclectic. Some days I do a reading but on the computer with Orphalese rather than a real deck. And some days I order a deck! I don't do that every day, though. Lee, You seem to have the perfect life......... I do tarot everday but sometimes its just looking at decks/cards. Or spending time here on AT. In fact I never seem to have enough time to spend on Tarot! Moonbow*

Well, I exaggerate, I haven't really bought many new decks since then, only the Ancient Tarots of Lombardy. But I did order four divination sets since then. But, I do think on reflection that the cold turkey business was rather pretentious and overblown on my part. Who really cares if I buy decks or not? Hi Lee, Couldn't agree more! I agree Cold Turkey was rather rash and I for one think you can buy as many decks as you like because we then get to read the excellent reviews that you do!! J :)

Like some previous posters, I too do some type of tarot work everyday; however, I don't do readings everyday...or everyweek for that matter. I think they're more effective when they're limited.

About my tarot habits ... In the winter i find myself doing tarot stuff everyday, should it be on aeclectic or with my cards. Evening works best, when the children are in bed but i am sometimes too tired to do readings so i just end up surfing on the various tarot sites. In the summer, i don't surf so much. I still use my cards but not as often. Kissa PS: if i am on aeclectic in the morning, it is because i am on the searching/choosing/trading or buying process ... Jingle bells jingle bells ...
