Well everything is new to me. I want to know what can I do to get really centered with my intuition, my deck, and other inner stuff?
I am afraid that I am not getting a good reading of my cards because of my lack of experience and the lack of knowledge of what the cards really mean. I have no money to search for a begginers book right now because all the christmas shopping. So I am looking the meaning of the cards on the internet. But I feel like they might not be exactly right.
Yesterday I got stuck in a reading that I was doing and I could not get past the first card.... because the card could mean several things and the next card wasn't really helping to much...
Did you guys had problems reading the cards when you started?

Have you seen Thirteen's Tarot Basics right here on the Aeclectic web-site? They were written by one of Aeclectic's members, Thirteen. They have been a great help to people who are starting out in Tarot and even to those who are more "advanced".

I have found that journaling is what works for me. Putting my thoughts and impressions about each card on paper.
Thirteens Basics is a terrific asset too.

Hi Crazydeka
The other suggestions given already are all you should need to start and then try to build up your intuition. I don't know what deck you have but remember - everything that is in the card is there for a reason. So look at the colours, the dress, which way are the people looking, do they look happy, relaxed etc etc.
To build up your intuition go with how you feel about the card as well as using the meanings. Then if you get stuck, you can always post your spread and question here and ask for others to give you their take on it. Its a gradual process but just stick at it. I'm still learning too. Good luck

Intuition... you said it all... I need to learn that. I need to learn how to trust myself. Yeah I am still working on it... maybe I will find out. I'll post it later after I figure something out.
How did you guys did to get in touch with your intuitive side?

when i first started, I probably wrote the entire LWB out 3 times over in my journal. This was for the reptition in learning, as well as putting those specific card meaning all on one page so I could look at them all at once and not have to flip pages. I don't know if it was this deck and it's LWB {which was really FULL of info, not a little fold out type}, but I noticed a connect the dot type 'thing' with the cards/meanings I pulled. I could only see this when written out as such.
Thoughts are most important when wanting to get more intuitive- while I would read a 'description' of the card- like the images 'story', I would be reminded of things in my life, I would write these thoughts down, then when I would read and copy what the card meaning was, I would underline the key words that stood out, ingnoring the rest {but still wrote them down}
then I would re-read everything I wrote, and then write what ever thoughts go through my mind.
Even days after, my mind would often come back to the reading. When it did, I would stop what I was doing {as best as I could} and think about what might have triggered that thought, how it may apply to this moment. I would also take the time to reflect on that one part of the reading from an overall perspective.....like 'it's a good time to think about this right now'
