i'm not sure if anyone here is a rabid jeopardy fan like i am, but last night, my dad and i were watching when a category called "telling the future" (or something to that effect) popped up. i think it was the $400 answer that went something like, "one traditionally does this with their left hand before reading tarot cards".
"WHAT IS CUT THE DECK! WHAT IS CUT THE DECK!"
needless to say, my dad finally appreciated all of the tarot studying that i've been working on (and he's been laughing at!) for the past few months.
just goes to show, you never know when tarot'll come in handy!

Woo hoo! I'm a big Jeopardy fan too! And now I feel vindicated - since I have my querents cut with their left hand - because *it says so on Jeopardy!* :)

That's what I'd like to know! :D
Most of the time I *hate* Jeopardy. Mostly because I'm too stupid (lol) and also because we used to have a really old Jeopardy computer game on our really old computer that used to get possessed and take over all the players so that they'd start playing the game by themselves and you'd never get a turn! And the only way to shut it off was to turn off the computer.
*evil*

:D :D That made me laugh, Dead Star~!!
I have often said that due to my English major, and my 10+ years of library work, I *rock* at Jeopardy. I watched Jeopardy for years, but right now my TV is overrun with Nickelodeon.
Who knew Tarot would come in handy too~!?
I still think someday I could make a fortune on the show.... :D

I was watching the show with my mom, and when it came up, I started screaming the answer too. She just laughed and said "If you didn't know it, I'd be very worried." :)

A tarot question on Jeopardy always has me in bliss--two of my favoritist things!!!
I must humbly admit that I, too, ROCK at Jeopardy...so, watch out, Alissa--I'll give you a run for your money at that Jaguar! :D
(Although I am weak on questions about television sitcoms or baseball...)

buuuuuut when you're on the show and in the first round a category is "sitcoms" or "baseball", just wait for double jeopardy when the categories are "tarot" and "more tarot"!

Aaahhh, snuffy, wouldn't that just be heaven? :)
Hmmm, now here's a thought: "Tarot Jeopardy!" :D
Wouldn't that be the coolest thing?
Who needs categories like "Minor Leaguers" or "Sitcom Moms" when we can have "Minor Arcana" or "Name That Empress"?
;)

You guys are all just smartypants! I'm sure if there was more tarot on the show I'd do better. I'm not a dumb person, I'm just young and most of those questions are too advanced for me haha...
But come on you guys. Isn't tarot already handy? ;)

yeah tarot jeopardy would be cool or how about broaden the horizons and make it metaphysical jeopardy. I mean they already have rock and roll jeopardy so why not?

"I'm Alex Trebek, and this is Jeopardy!
"Welcome back our returning champion, Tauni. She won an unprecedented $100,000 yesterday in a stunning finish, after the final Jeopardy question that dealt with a favorite hobby of hers, Tarot!
"And here to challenge Tauni today are her competitors, Khatruman and Alissa. Contestants, pick up your buzzers ..."

Mr. Trebek-
what are the catagories?
I missed that one with the tarot question...must have been at work. I would have taken that catagory DOWN!....lol.....
so do we have a new game for the F&G forum? heehee....
I love this show too- but it's the wheel of fortune that comes on after where I want to make my $$$- I can figure out what the phrase is with usually one or two letters- it seems SO easy--but with my luck, I will continually land on bankrupt or lose a turn. I have beat my mom once in Trivial Persuit & no one will play with her sister! She needs to go on that show!.
I only am an expert;) on half of the things in the world. {the half the general population is unaware of })
I can get to about $125,000.oo on 'who wants to be a millionaire'-
They had a tarot related question few weeks ago......grr, what was it?......OH OH! OH OH!.......
what are the 22 trump cards called in a tarot deck?
I think it was a question that was worth 65k, so I guess the shows producers considered uncommon knowledge....
