I have the Russian Gypsy Fortune Telling Cards and I thought they were lost forever but I found them! It's been about 3 years since I have used them last and was wondering if I should do anything "special" to them before I use them again?

I generally don't do anything to my cards. I don't believe that any type of ritual influences the cards. However, you probably will hear from others who think differently. I think the important question is, do YOU think you need to cleanse them in some way? If so, then by all means do so.

How wonderful. It's always nice to find an old friend after an absence. As for anything special...what ever you feel is an appropriate welcoming. Personally I would just give them a good shuffle.

Yes, make plans not to lose them again ;)
Cleansing etc is a very personal thing and not something that I practice ...

If your personal philosophical, religious or spiritual beliefs lead you to have the need to do something with them, then by all means, do something. For instance, the Wiccan type of person, or the people who practice Magic(k) will maybe feel the need to cleanse them with sage, put them in moonlight and perhaps perform some ritual.
However, the type of person who is not so inclined, will just take out the cards, dust them down, shuffle them and do a reading with them just for fun!
It is a purely personal thing and everyone here will give you different advice because we have the two types of people here on Aeclectic as well as those who navigate between.
Fortune telling is cool. :)

In the end, any ritual will, if not on your cards, at least work on you: if you feel you have to "do something" to your cards - do it. It will connect you to your cards, not the other way around!
