Yesterday I received one of CJ Tarot's pocketed spread cloths. I have never used a spread cloth before; never felt the need but I'm so impressed with this one that I just felt I had to gush a bit :)
The cloth is double sided; very dark blue- almost black on one side and a beautiful celestial pattern on the other. The patterned side has 2 pockets - one for a tarot deck and one for crystals or pendulum. The whole thing folds up and is fastened with a ribbon.
CJ's workmanship is fantastic. The fabric is good quality - I can see this lasting for years and my deck is much better protected than it was in it's velvet bag.
I usually do my readings on my bed but last night I used my new spread cloth for the first time - The cards stood out so much more than they do against a duvet cover.
There, gushing over. If you feel the need to get a spread cloth or a new bag for your cards please consider CJ Tarot - her prices are very, very reasonable - even with postage to the UK.
Thankyou CJ - I love my cloth. You'll probably be getting another order soon as my pendulum needs a home :D
Love and light

That sounds so beautiful! :) I always just use my floral-patterned carpet (it's hard to distinguish the cards right away, and also my cards have all these little fuzzies stuck between them) but now I'm motivated to make or buy myself a spread cloth. Thanks Sulis :P

Sulis,
I am so happy you like the cloth.
I picked up 2 patterns to show you, 1 was floral and 1 one was celestial..the floral is gonna me a bag instead..FOR MYSELF..lol..WHen you do things, you tend to forget you can use a treat once in a while too.
PS. My website and email are on my profile..on the site to see some the items you ahve to click on the picture and it will bring you to a yahoo photo album. For anyone looking to start a verry small website..this is a wonderful way to do it..you can load and change pictures in the yahoo website quite easily..I love it.
Thanks again for the praise.

Hmm...I was just thinking the other day that I'm starting to want a spread cloth...I only need one but just, something. Then again I was also thinking that I suddenly NEED the Faeries Oracle even though I just ordered two more decks in addition to my 3 others and one of them just arrived today. Tsk, tsk...my days of saving money are over.

Oh, dear, another project :D I have so much pretty cloth that I could use! I go to Joann ETC all the time and by quarter flats when they are on sale. My husband makes Tarot bags for himself and friends. I've always made my own bags as well, although he's getting really good and some of his bags are really neat, or actually it's the buttons he's using on them that are nice (he keeps invading my button box...)

Hi Majecot,
I'd post a picture but my scanner is playing up and Super Hubby is busy drilling something :) so he can't help - if I mess with it it will never work again :D
The best thing to do is go to CJ Tarot's site and click on the spreadcloth - the fabric I chose is number 3 in the fabric photos - little stars on a blue background.
Love and light
