I find after I do tarot readings &/or after deep discussions of the card meanings or e.g. there is always a choice, life is a gift, we choose how we live our life, etc. I have extremely cold hands . I noticed this a few times now & decided to ask if anyone else has noticed this. (I do have low blood pressure but I don't take any medication & do not think that has anything to do with this).
Thanks for any replys.
Does explaining the cards or explaining the knowledge that we have acquired from cards effect us when we try to explain it to others? I know the spacey feeling we can get after readings but is the cold hand one also? May be a crazy question but ..........

Have very cold hands.
People even comment if they shake my hand after the reading on how cold my hands are.
I think it's because when I read I'm in a very meditative state and my metabolism slows way down.

Thank you I don't feel so bad now. I think it has to do with your energy level trying to explain & help people with the best of our knowing. I also thought if I tried to explain this people wouldn't understand .

It's because of bad circulation in your body; even if it's warm outside it's not uncommon for your hands or feet to get cold when using them frequently. My hands become arctic after typing on the computer for a good bit.
And you're right, it also has to do with how much energy you're outputting, particularly if you're excited.

Roz:
There is also a school of belief that thinks cold hands reflect "angelic energy" i.e. compassion, help, loving guidance. This has always made sense to me. In a Tarot reading that is way you are trying to do.
I also believe that the "Meditative state" lark talked about comes into play. Our physical bodies trying to resonate at a higher frequency to "receive" the messages to pass on....
I have such cold hands all the time it has become a joke among friends and family. My menopausal friends just want me to hold their "hot hands" for a few minutes to "cool off" LOL :D

Not me. My hands and body get really warm when I read or heal.

Yes, so are my husbands......but, I think this just goes to show that each has it's place. Every individual is different and how they relate to subtle energy is different. One not better, or more effective than another, just different.

I am like Mystic in this area, my hands become very warm when I read. There is an energy, but for me it produces heat.

Interesting... I never noticed if my hands were cold or warm... well then again I haven't done a real reading yet *blush*
However, sorry to deviate a little.. but yesterday after I bought my cards , I spent quite a bit of time admiring them, getting used to them, that sort of thing.
Result? Today I could just barely drag myself out of bed. I fell into a dreamless sleep for about 13 hours and now, after only being awake for 7hours, I'm tired out. What is strange is that I almost ALWAYS dream, I sleep barely 4 hours on any given day.
It could be just my imagination working overtime, but does anyone else share my experience?

I'd never thought of this one until just now. My cold hands and feet are a family joke. It's an odd moment when they are warm, so now I'm going to have to pay more attention when I'm doing spreads. Sometimes I get goosebumps while I'm reading.

Vynara,
It sounds as if your body and spirit needed a spiritual rejuvenation and time to digest the new information you gave it! A Four of Swords moment maybe? :)
There have been times when I've expended too much energy into a spiritual project, and as a result have needed to sleep longer than normal. And with two young boys, when my husband lets me sleep in... Boy! You better believe I take advantage of it! :D

Add me to the list. :)
My hands are always cold after tarot readings, meditation or anything requiring a great deal of concentration (like editing images on the computer or a vast amount of typing). Oddly enough my hands are always freezing after yoga... when it seems like my circulation should be pumping along pretty well! But I think it has to do with the concentration/meditative like state that these activities invoke. I've tried to visualize my hands warming and 'create' heat in them, but it only works sometimes...
Thanks for the interesting thread. :)

I've never noticed if my hands were cold, but boy, do they SHAKE! I get all shakey in my hands after a reading for other people, not for myself. They just get worse if I do multiple readings in one day. I always try to ground the energy afterwards though.

It is interesting reading this thread as to how different people are physically affected during or after a reading.
Me, I get hot! - hot hands, hot face, hot all over - and no it is not menopausal :-) as some of my friends joke.
When it first started to happen I thought it was because it was just really hot weather 35 degrees C etc, but then I also started to notice it in the winter as well.
I don't get hot when I read for myself, only other people - again *L* I first put it down to being nervous and embarrassed etc, which I have to admit I was for a while at first :-) but the hot feeling has still continued years later. Now I just try and make sure I read where it is a bit cooler, otherwise I am perspiring all over the place before too long - not a good look *L*
