well, what can i say? i have a friend. let's just call her hikari. once she told me that soon she'll let me know a secret about herself. i'm so curious that i couldn't sleep thinking of that. so i used the cards and asked them what could be her secret. she told me that i'll get shocked if i'll be able to know it. the spread that i used was the celtic cross. [yup, that's my favorite spread.] what made me really think are these 4 cards: the hierophant [position10], the lovers[position3], wheel of fortune[position1] and the 6 of cups [position8]. i interpreted the wheel of fortune card as "hikari was confused if she'll hesitate to tell me or not. as of now, we get along well together." the heirophant as "she was about to marry someone else but preferred to go on her own" the lovers as "she loves him so much" and the 6 of cups as "the innocent side of hikari...her child???" therefore, i concluded the reading as 1.)"hikari accidentally had a child. but she loves the child." 2.) "she's engaged to his love one." and 3.) "she'll marry her love one." guess what? my first interpretation was exact. she had a child... i'm not really shocked after the reading because i still need to confirm it. then one day, she told me that. she had her child. this is just an example. so whenever you use the cards, make sure that you didn't cheat and you concentrated very much so that you'll get the nearest possible result of the cards. you must accept it whatever the cards might say. but of course, you should confirm it too. ^_^

Wow, very amazing story! She did end up being married as well?
I do find the same thing. That it is better to go with what first comes to you even if it has little to do with the actual card, or is not the usual meaning.
Welcome to Aeclectic psy nuhri. Nice to have you here!

well actually she's not married. she just became a single parent... how sad. but i think she's contented with what she have now. as long as her child would have a good future.

I was also worried about a newly married friend of mine who wanted to get pregnant, but was unable to do so for a while ( I didn't know about this until later ).
Well, without my telling her about my readings to see how she is doing, asked the cards if she is having a baby and found out that she was not pregnant, and a bit unhappy.
However, a few days ago, and without even thinking about this matter, I wanted to do another reading for her, and there comes the empress, and the queen of coins, to prove in no uncertain terms that she is pregnant now. I think I also got the 6 of cup---- all in all was a surprising outcome.
So I knew for sure that she is pregnant, and getting along better with her husband.
Funny how the cards have their own mind, even if you think you are just doing a general reading, there pops up a card that says it ALL.
I have many other coincidences, like when my nephew was in trouble , that I didn't know about, but I kept getting the seven of swords only to find out later that he was arrested for some minor misdemeanor. There are a lot of other conicidences, even for me.
That is why I love and came to trust Tarot so much. It is like you are talking to your best friend, or rather,.... your angel

Just to add another story in the same vein...
A few years back I read for this girl I worked with. I knew she was married, so when I read a new love I assumed it meant she had renewed her marriage vows or something. Actually, I couldn't have been more wrong (and right). She was actually having an affair with a work colleague, who I (correctly) described when I talked of a coldness and lack of emotion (according to her, that's his personality).
Since then I have been less cautious, although once that backfired on me. Oh dear.
