OM SAI RAM (My Soul Greet to Your Beloved Souls)! Dearest All! I am sooooooo happy to be able to connect to all the noble soul-networks ;-) like you. Let us have the Divine Connection to GOD through the Tarot Decks! How do we do that? We can use Art-to-Heart talk to GOD. What I really mean is that we can use the Tarot Decks to communicate with GOD by many different ways, such as we can pick up one card in the morning and one card before bedtime and then contemplate and meditate upon it. Let us talk to GOD and be silent to get GOD's Voice... Let us see how much wonders and mysteries can be unraveled... Do you think that the Tarot Decks act like the Pointers to Divinity??? What do you think about this quotation: “SCIENCE WITHOUT RELIGION IS LAME. RELIGION WITHOUT SCIENCE IS BLIND.” I am in the process of utilize all the higher knowledge, gifts, and talents of each other to blend together and create A WHOLESOME MASTERPIECE, as we already know that ‘UNITY IS THE LAW OF GOD’. Welcome to Aeclectic, Golden Gate... I'm not sure how you would like this thread to unfold in this Games Forum. One of the Questions you include, viz. 'Do you think that the Tarot Decks act like the Pointers to Divinity???', I would personally like to have discussed in the Talking Tarot section - if responded to here, it may be more in mirth than serious play which you seem to desire :) Of course, as well as the question, I would very much like to read your view as to ways in which the question may indeed be addressed. __________ Again - Welcome to Aeclectic - and please do announce yourself in the New Members area...

Golden Gate, I'm loving your energy!! I've actually never seen a split between science and religion, although I know the general public often does. To me, all things on this planet are slowly moving in the direction of unity and I love to just sit back and watch. :)

OM SAI RAM! Dearest Noble Souls! Yes, GOD’s Telephone does work! I just called HIM yesterday and today I already got HIS voices back. My Dear JMD, do I sound so serious about ‘GOD’s Telephone’ thread??? Yes, I think I am... so ‘serious’ to laugh ;-))))) so I join in this Games Forum. I just afraid that because of that hahahahaha, somebody might kick me out-Oowww… How do I like to unfold this thread? I am thinking about one of many ways to play this such as: Your Choice: Going toward GOD or Going backward toward DOG??? What do you think? I see that GOD and DOG is like a coin have two sided that have a head and also a tail. Who do you think GOD is? From my side, GOD is you and me and everyone and everything. The differences are the degree of development in each of us. The meanings of GOD in us: G = Generation, can we generate laughter??? O = Organization, how do we organize to enjoy-enhance-expand our Love-Light Laughter??? D = Dissolution (Liberation), can we dissolute (liberate) ourselves while still alive??? Why wait for future but not live in this Omni-Present of GOD? How do you read this: G O D N O W H E R E… My Dear Jen, your smile is a big wonders and mysteries; don’t you share with us some… so we all can smile like you??? You are THAT...I am THAT...We are all THAT...We have these forms and names but don't get stuck here. Don't you agree???

Hello Golden Gate. Welcome to the forum. Okay, so a telephone line to God via the tarot, eh? Are you sure it's not a short-wave radio? I'm willing to try to think of it that way. I still haven't the foggiest notion what God is yet, (although certain major personnages on this forum have assured me that God is everything, including toasters, play-stations, tarot cards, and yes, even you and me... ) I sure do find that the cards put me in touch with something. Once in a while, when I read for people (actually, for person) there is that a little voice that starts talking in a burst of spontaneous invention -- coming from "God knows where". LOL. Firemaiden to Tarot-God, Firemaiden to Tarot-God, come in please, over....

Golden Gate... I must say your thread is very intresting. When i say your thread it made me think of my mother. Because i was telling here somewhat of the same thing just the other day. Now, being on an open mind of what "God" is... I feel god speaks to your soul. Your soul speaks you physical-self. And the cards speaks with your inner-voice... or ...soul. Even though i am noway a christain and my view on god and the devil (positive and nagative energy) may be very different from yours. I just wanted to tell you how I perhapes relate. I dunno i just found it intresting to see your post.

I was thinking of this concept about tarot just the other day-It came to me sort of as a ready-made rebuttal to those who think I am a practicing satanist -or will end up as one- because I read the cards. I never thought of it as "Gods telephone" more like having moments where I am allowed to touch the hem of God's robes, very humbly.

When my daughter was about 8 and would say, "That's weird!" I'd say, "Weird is more fun!" That encouragement came back to haunt me for awhile in her teen years. She almost weirded me out (in a scary way), but that's a teen's main job, of course. Now we're happily weird together.

Look Golden Gate the truth is obvious here... your getting bs anwers cuz nobody know if you Serious or tryin to cram your god down our throats. When going about a forum here be open and try to express for how you "Feel" or "Think" things work instead of saying this "IS" how it works.

The word God doesnt necissarily mean the christian God. It can mean any higher power in to which you believe in. Personally Im agnostic, but I understand where Golden is coming from. I use my tarot cards to better understand my spirit guides....so I guess that would be my "Gods telephone" for me.

I don't see GoldenGate as trying to "cram god down our throats" at all. And anyone with some Hindu background would recognize the Sanskrit in the opening phrase of Gate's post. A Christian God is also not (necessarily) what I think GoldenGate is trying to express here. The cards are a means of communication. A phone is a means of communication. So, when you read, who do you communicate with? If it's your self, your Higher Self, your subconscious, or even the universal archetypes of the Universe, you may not believe Tarot can be a communication tool with the Divine, a telephone to God. If you believe Tarot allows something beyond the natural world to communicate with us, using images to convey meanings, then yes. A deck of cards can be a telephone to God (however, or whomever, you chose to see Divinity in your own life, regardless of religion).

That's a much more concise way of expressing what the original poster is talking about (if that is indeed what they are talking about). It is just that I've had enough of that new age style verbiage to last a lifetime (It is very cloying and makes my skin crawl). Precision in expression reflects precision in though, which is helpful when wading through such difficult questions and ideas as one may come across in this forum. I do talk to God with the cards. I sometimes talk to people as well who are technically dead but I don't do that unless I have great reason to do such. The symbols are different gates to the same city (I guess one could say). The symbology really helps with developing concentration and the immagination.

I would like to invite you all to a read a thread I began on this topic: Of Tarot, Dilogun and Incarnated Beings about the casting of cowrie shells, meant to "reveal divine expression in the mortal realm [...]" Anyway, why are some people having trouble with the concept of using the tarot as a way of connecting, or "plugging in"? Aren't we all trying to do that to some degree? connect to higher consciousness, "intuition", higher realms, etc. Where is the discomfort coming from? I'm curious.

I do think that we are all somewhat "plugging in." Pehapes all this discomfort is unessasary. Negative energy is never good. I respect GoldenGates Thoughts on tarot as much as anyone elses. Im sorry GoldenGate if i Came of harsh or rude. The thing im glad to hear the most is that you practice Tarot like the rest of us. Good Luck in the future with it.

It's my first time to know and to get into the Forum, make a thread, then experience the multi-dimentional levels of understanding. Very Amazing...;-) As my journey goes from the darkest toward the Infinite Light, I finally find the GOLDEN GATE. Eventhough, at the moment I am still at the Gate, but I know that anytime the gate can open up for me, especially these holy time till Feb. 18 /04. So I also hope you can...first hand experience is more fulfill then ever, just like you read the menu alone can not make your belly full. Eat IT, taste IT, and the experiences is yours. Kabir has beautifully described this scene in his famous poem, Kar Naino deedar Mahal mein Pyara hai (Envision the beloved Lord in the Palace) as follows: "He alone is real saint who enters the Trikuti Palace closing the visible nine doors, He alone is real saint who opens the Tenth Door kept locked from the time of taking first human birth, He alone is real saint who enters the Region of Peace and reaches Maansarovar Lake, He alone is real saint who envisions his soul dressed as a bride walking merrily, with majestic gait of the swan amidst resounding Kingri music." My final choice that work for me: “Finally we shall place the Sun Himself at the center of the Universe.” That means we put the SUN HIMSELF in our very own hearts, then experiences...what you can not say by words. Ah, I think the phrase "God's telephone" simply caught me unawares.
