Are there any witches here who use the tarot?

If you define the word "witch" as being a Wiccan, then yes, I am one.

If you define the word witch from its original meaning:
Wise woman and healer, I would definately say I hope I am :D xTAx

Hello again, Emaic,
I do not know what label applies to me. I am female, practice magick, and am pagan. In many books, that gives me the label of witch, but I am still not sure if it fits. One thing I have learned beyond any doubt - being pagan is a lot tougher on the soul than catholicism (in which I was raised)- there is no one to tell me what or how many goddesses/gods I am to believe in, or if there are any at all. There are no rules, no churches, to catechism to memorize. I must develop my own ethics, decide my own belief system, follow my own path. It is at once scary and wonderful. I have read some about Wicca - Scott Cunningham, Vivien Crowley to name a few and find many things in their writings that speak to me. And I do at this time follow a path to the feminine divine - but I think that may be because the feminine aspect of the divine was denied to me for so long that I now tend to go overboard in the other direction. I do not deny the masculine divine, just wish to get to know the feminine divine better. I have found Tarot to be a wonderful tool for self- awareness. I have not read very much for others yet, but find that when I do, the cards are soooooo incredibly on target it takes my breath away. All in all, I am much better off, much closer to the divine, much more in tune with the longings of my soul than when I was previously indoctrinated.

Well, lets see. I read tarot, I'm Wiccan, and a priestess as well. Does that count?

And yet another one who falls under the classification of witch. Or at least, I aspire to.

It's not like I have anything against witches.
I was actually interested in becoming one at one time.
It's sort of a nice combination- you know?

Thank you, TheaLynx...what you have written is pretty much exactly the way I feel about my spiritual path. I do not know what to call myself, or even if I need a label...but having been raised Catholic also, I totally agree with you that it is very liberating to not have others dictate your beliefs and your life.
Thanks for sharing, it was validating for me...

I love Charmed; it's such a girly show. :)
And I too watched far too much Sabrina when younger (although what I really wanted was a talking kitty).
