putting the archetypal into the minors,

Thread originally posted on the Aeclectic Tarot Forum on 13 Feb 2004, and now archived in the Forum Library.

HOLMES  13 Feb 2004
this has a little bit of tarot creation in it but also much of talking tarot in it.

when i expanded the numerology system of understanding the tarot be five of swords,

five of swords is heirophant in the mental world , people of done that,
five of swords has the temperance added to make the heirophant in the mental world that has been done.

five of swords has the heirophant through hermit to the temperance, hierophant through the wheel of fortune to the devil, the heirophant through the tower by subtracting (16 6-1 makes five) and so it becomes through the justice card.

in my mind i would be seeing the heirophant example standing there holding the swords, with the devil laughing in the background, the tower directly over head not on fire or still on fire,
and the temperance would be coming over to balance the situation.
perhaps it would be the heirophant warning the person against using the swords to defeat the enemies.
*but then that would get into religious aspect of new vs old testment eh *

and i would do so for each card.
what archtypal is going into the minors ? the archtypal trumps going into the lower minors.

in the inner child cards they strived to change the energies of the minors for they saw the energies of the major going into the minors. (but you didnt' see such a change of what i proposed ).
though they did change the swords from strife images to truth images.

1. would that be too much imagery ?
2. help you understand the minors better?

for the majors to differnate from the minors, it would certainly face up aka morgon greer type as to emphasis the energy of that major arcana card.

now i lack the artwork to make this cards and this was intended to be my first deck.

i think only lisa hunt can do it justice or the one who illustrates the celtic tarot by deburgh.

as the court cards use no numbers in this tarot they wouldn't have no major influences..

the astrology system that would be my second tarot would have not the minors numbers influenced. but still the majors influences over the cards.

example venus in libra , would have emperess talking to justice while the card acts itself out and there would be the court card person in the action itself as the court card rules a minor.

the court card astrology wise,,there is some system who uses the sun and the moon to define the court cards (ok it is the jungian tarot )
