I have heard and Saw books about tarot Spells..I was wondering if they really do work....Has anybody ever tried a spell and done it? Has it ever worked? Im very very curious about this..If they do work I will probably end up buying a book about them :)

Spellwork is really all in your head, things like tarot cards and candles and herbs and stones and eyes of newts don't really do anything but aid your mental concentration towards a goal. If you have a love for Tarot and a connection to the cards as I do, then sure! I would say you could look into using them for spells, since they speak emotionally/mentally to you. I have 2 books you might be interested in: Tarot Magic by Dorothy Morrison, and another called A Magical Course in Tarot, but I can't remember who wrote that one.

Hi,
I've combined the tarot and spellwork for many years and have had great success with it. My husband just started doing it and he's a natural. If you think you want to try it, by all means look into it.
Joy to you,
Maralee

Hi, oh yes, I feel it is very important to know what effect a spell will have before casting. The tarot is a great tool to help determine possible outcomes. :-)
Joy to you,
Maralee

I believe the card or cards are used as a focus for the desired result. It does work, and all the magic happens inside you to make it so. They're a tool to get your mind pointed in the right direction.

A Magical Course in Tarot is by Michele Morgan--very excellent book about freeing yourself from book meanings and learning to trust your intuition.

A lot of it is done in the form of affirmations. You pick the card that most represents what you want or need, or the change you wish to do in yourself. By looking at it each day, it's almost like a meditation/affirmation.
VERY similar to that bikini picture posted on the door of the fridge, in some ways.
Of course if you're working within the Craft (pagan) you focus on it a bit differently, but the bottom line is very similar.

You keep the doubt out & 'know' it works. Then you wait to see what happens. What you ask for may not be what you thought you'd get, but it does come through one way or another. Results do happen because you initiate a sequence of actions just by doing it. When you doubt, you stifle the series of actions & can cause it to stop. So keep the doubt out & just accept that 'something' is happening & it should, within a few days to within two weeks. Any longer than that & you'll need to look back & re-evaluate whether you missed the signs that it manifested maybe in a different manner than what you were looking for. If that happened, try again, but be clearer.

Paulo I don't have any advice to give you on spellbooks, because I've never used any. To my way of thinking, the most powerful spell is my own spell . . . I do what feels most deeply right, with serious intent & an open heart :)
Whether or not it's a 'spell' depends I suppose on how one defines the word.

Thats a good book-and it works!
Just be careful what you ask for because sometimes the results are unexpected but looking back were clearly what you intentioned for. The cards give you specific results: ie Don't cast a spell for a new love to enter your life using the Knight of Cups when what you were really looking for was a more mature man-like any of the Kings, because you'll get specifically what you asked for even though you may have meant something else at the time.
