Hi all,
as you've probably noticed, Joan Bunning is having a clear off sale on her website. I asked her back in january what the shipping costs for Finland would be for three decks. Unfortunately, i never received an answer. But eh, she's a busy lady, running (free) classes ont the net, writing books and well, being a person too (wife and mom)!
Last saturday, i went to her site and found a set i've wanted for long. I wrote her again, mentioning my first mail but saying that it's ok, these three decks (not available anymore by the time i watched again) were simply not for me, i guess...
I received an answer, a warm and personal answer. She had written back to me in january but i never got her mail (maybe deleted by accident with all the spams we get). Really hard to believe the e-mail came form such a busy lady ... Tat sure made me feel special and cheered me up for ... all that time, JOAN HAD SAVED THE THREE DECKS FOR ME ... and was about to contact me about them...
Now, what do you say about that?????
I am truly amazed. Joan's Learning Tarot was my first book and I loved it for its direct, friendly and down to earth approach. From my very own experience, she is just like she sounds in her book. We've exchanged a few mails in between, my decks are on their way.
I wanted to share this as this experience adds one name on the long list of the wonderful persons I've met thru Tarot.

Hi Kissa!
Nice to know your decks are on the way. I also bought a pair of decks from her shop a month ago. The mail explaining the fees was a correct and kind one as you say, and the decks arrived withouth problems. I agree she seems to be a nice lady. But hey! There is a lot of nice people one can find on the net.
And now... enjoy your decks!!

I've had the same great communication in any email questions and orders with her. People deeply into tarot all seem to have a wonderful ability to connect with others. Because they're deeply connected with their Higher Selves?

I, too, purchased from her a few months ago. Shipping was free in the US and I didn't have to wait forever for them either. I think I had them in 3 days or so.
I'd recommend doing business with her to anyone.

I agree with everyone who has posted here about Joan....she is a wonderful, warm person and I have had excellent--and personalized--service from her as well! It is so much nicer to deal with an actual PERSON when ordering decks, and as busy as she must be, she responded very quickly to all of my emails! A very sweet person who genuinely cares about her customers....how refreshing!

Yes, Joan is wonderful, warm and a real asset to the tarot community. I checked out her sale and got the Tarot of the Animal Lords, the Tarot Affirmations deck (which I store in a recipe box- I later read someone calling it the "recipe" deck, LOL, but I like it anyway), and the book for the Rohrig deck. I second Lark's query, what decks did you get?

Greetings all,
I certainly wish Joan's Tarot tutorial had been around when I first started working with the cards! LUV her technique! It does make one feel extra-special when a busy author/artist takes time-out for you. I just felt "warm & fuzzy" all over when Nina Lee Braden sent me a reply re: creating my own exercise once.
Best wishes to all...

yeah! "warm and fuzzy" that's the feeling! :D
Oh you create your own exercices for self discovery, it is nice! I have Nina Lee's book but haven't started working on the exercices yet. Is your exercice on her webpage?

I had meant to look at her site some time ago...and found the Gotthold and Gotthold deck and book, normally a $50 set because it is a small press & independent publisher of a 100 card deck and a book. I got the book and deck for about $35.00. from Joan Bunning's closeout.
I remember seeing the book at a local new age store, but it had been thumbed through so the gray cover was slightly smudged. However the foldout of the soft and bright springlike colors and the designs did look pretty, so I thought I'd write down the address and search the web...anyway, I checked the aeclectic threads and found what Joan was offering was a great deal.
So it will be mine soon.
I like the prices on many of the other decks...but I've given or traded many of them in the past few years...so I'm looking forward to this and in a few months, some forthcoming Lo Scarabeo titles.
Thanks! I wrote her a thank you note after I ordered for her great site and selection of decks. In the future I'll remember to check her site for Rider Waite style offerings as well.

True that her tarot lessons are great, true that buying from her is great too. I gladly mention her as a reference (about tarot and her free course), and my experience with her as a client was great as well.

Her prices came down today. The book/deck sets are now 30% off and the decks are 20% off. I just ordered the Jungian Tarot and Mana Cards book/deck set.
Blessings,

Oh yes!
I've talked with and bought from Joan several times and she is the MOST kind woman I've ever met!
No matter how busy she is, she always take the time to personally write a letter to you, no form letters or other people writing for her!
Her Learning the Tarot was the book that began to teach me about Tarot, so learning how she is on a personal level only helps to reinforce the love and gentleness coming thru her book!
I recently got her Learning Tarot Reversals as well... she is a wonderful lady!
