I know that it will be a while before this becomes a possibility for me but I'm just curious to know the story of any "professional" readers that are here on this board-- professional as in people pay you money to read tarot cards. I definitely think this is something I'd be interested in down the line. How long had you been studying tarot? How'd you get your start? Do you do it as your "main job"? What have been your challenges and successes? etc. I hope I'm not being too nosey here but I'd love to hear your tale if you're willing to share. Thanks! Brandi

brandi that's a very detailed question!!! An one that needs more time than I have now, but I thought I would suggest looking through some old threads as you will find lots of info and stories relating to this subject.
If you are really lucky, some wonderful person may even post the thread titles up for you :) XTAX

while I am only new to tarot reading and have not tryed to do a big reading for some one ( have done 1 card readings ) it is my belife that the abilaty to judge what the tarot cards are telling you in relation to a question that has been asked them is a "gift " and if in useing this "gift" you seek payment for it then you loose the gift .....
it is true that by doing a reading you are doing a service for the questioner and if they offer money then you can take it ....
but it is my belife that the gift was freeley given and should be used free or for a small ( under $5) donation

I was going to do the search, too, since I just posted on one of the old ones. How do you do these so fast..? I have to save the URL to favorites and copy as I type...Is there a faster way?
Thanks for doing the search...terri

Yes, thanks again. I have really enjoyed reading about people's experiences with "going pro" and their beliefs on it. I for one don't see anything wrong with getting something (be it money or something else) in return for your services-- I wouldn't expect a musician to give me their cd or a performance for free simply because their musical talent was given to them freely.
