Okay, perhaps some of you have read my other thread about my "not so good experience on e-bay"...anyway, still waiting for a resolution from the seller (which she still assures me she will take care of). In the meantime, one of the cards in the deck I recieved was damaged, the card was bent at one time and it is creased on both the front and back. The crease is substantial enough to be able to affect any shuffling... is there anyway I can improve this card by minimizing the crease and bend in it? Will using a hot iron work (covering the card with a cloth)??? A silicone sheet and hot iron??? Any suggestions would be appreciated. If I could make this card more useable, I could then pass on this set to my son for him to use.

I don't remember what deck you got, but I've read here that you may be able to replace a lost or damaged card by writing to the publisher and getting that one card.
I've lost my Victoria Regina Chariot and will need to try this.

My Alchemical deck came with a creased card and nothing on earth made it better. I ironed it through cloth several times, to no avail. It has somewhat spoiled the deck for reading, since it's always so obvious where this card is in a shuffle. I agree with Imagemaker, try to obtain a replacement card.

I agree with what has been said before. I was not aware of the fact that the Publisher might send replacement cards until a friend pointed this out to me.
You should give it a try!

Before I can write for a replacement card, I have to identify if it is an old version, or new version...I bought this set, the Mythic tarot on e-bay, after I found out that one card was bad, I bought another Mythic Tarot set on e-bay....However, both are different versions. They have different thicknesses (this set with the damaged one is a flimsier version), and different patterns on the back. If I write to US games, I have to figure out if it is the newer version (because if it's the older version, I won't get the replacement from them)...The damaged set card backs are black, with a simple gold line framing the back and a gold cup/pentacle in the center (which will distinguish whether the card is reversed or upright when shuffling). The other, nicer set I bought has a purplish-blue back with a more intricate gold border, nothing in the center....so can anyone help me identify which is the newer set, which is the older?

Hi Yve
I bought my Mythic Tarot only a few weeks ago (from a book store not e-bay), but the backs on this one is dark blue with the gold/yellow border.
Hope this help.

I will asume you have more than one deck in your colection ...
try and find a email address for the publisher of the tarot deck then email them a question
ask them if you send them a dammaged taro card from a spacific deck will they be able to replace it with one exactley like it
( only problem would be if they take you literley and send you a brand new one allso creased )
you might have to aks for an undamaged new card
and even offer to pay a small amount for the replacement
