Some people here feel that you should never draw on your cards because the artist had a reason for the way they drew the cards, and that you are altering their meaning. -Lark-
What do u think?
Are we altering with the artists meaning, or do we have the right to trix with the cards to benefit our own meanings?

Any tool is out there to be used or modified for the user's purpose. If you have to change it too much, it's not the right tool for you. If a little tweak makes it perfect for your task, then any toolmaker would be pleased it's working for you.
Sometimes people indicate that the cards are like a Holy thing, not to be sullied or changed by mere humans. To me, this is the attitude that causes fundamentalists of any kind to lord it (in a perversion of the original word--inflicting an authority they don't possess) over others.
I say use the cards as they work best to serve you. We readers are co-creators with the artist in putting the tool to use in wonderful, generous, powerful ways.

If it's a print or other reproduction, I see no objection. If it's the original, leave it alone!

Bob you are so funny! :D
I guess that's why they keep them in glass cases in museums so people like me won't draw on them with our sharpie markers.

I see the cards as a tool. If you need to make minor adjustments to the cards to understand or connect with them better I say go for it. If what the artist intended isn't coming through to you, you just can't get it or are too distracted by something, then maybe a little line here or there will help the intention to come through.
If you have a hammer that needs grippy tape on it, it's still a hammer. Some people may not need the tape, the creator of the hammer didn't put any on it but you need it. With the tape you can better use the tool to suit your individual needs.
That's my two cents. :D
