Last night I read for my mother, after several years of not reading for her, and it was a good reading, but made us both uncomfortable after. How do you overcome reading for people who are close to you, spcifically family members?

I think that is a common feeling you experience, and I believe that it only takes time and practice to overcome it. I used to feel the same way when reading for my fiance, but don't anymore, however, I still cannot read for myself and I prefer not to read for myself and like to let others read for me as I don't think i'd be objective enough (however, sometimes there is a concern about objectivity when reading for those close to us too)

My sister & I read for one another now & again. But seeming as we know so much about one another it can make a reading a bit more difficult. But every time we've given a reading its always felt fine, keeping our opinions out of it. I don't think I could read for my mother though. That would be a bit too weird.
Each to their own!
