A Great Article....

OK OK can you believe I just said that about my own article?? I am not arrogant everyone, I just wanted to get your attention. And usually I would just post this in Chat, but I wanted to share with everyone.... Here's a link to my first ever article I have written: www.tarotforlife.com/newsletter01.html If you have problems opening the link, right click and choose Save Target As.... The article is titled Tarot Cafe and has a map of Australia at the top. There's a couple of reasons why I wanted to share the article with you all: Firstly because it was my intention in writing the article to inspire others around the world to do the same thing (as I have seen Kiama do, and now CreativeFire...) Secondly to share what happens at the Tarot cafe, and for people to be aware that in Australia there is a lot going on Tarot-wise. And thirdly to set up the Melbourne Tarot Conference next year is no easy thing to do and I think jmd deserves to be supported. Hi TemperanceAngel - it is indeed a great article! Well done :) It is certainly an inspiration to read how successful and enjoyable the Melbourne Tarot Cafe has become - I hope to one day be lucky enough to make it to Melbourne at the right time to come along. It was interesting reading in your article about what to expect, even though people have the common interest of tarot, will they still "click" etc, as Kath and I have now got the first date set for our new Brisbane Tarot Coffee Club, it is all going to be so new and different for all of us and yet another learning process with tarot! :) Thanks for sharing the article with us. Beautiful to see it in print, TemperanceAngel... and as I mentioned before, wonderfully, free-ingly and excitingly written :) ...I trust that other cities will also develop such a wonderful regular event, and that I may be able to make it to the Brisbane meeting this year some time!

Thanks for posting the article :) One of the things that struck me about your writing is how well you countered all the anxieties the reader would have - feeling shy when you first arrived, worrying you wouldn't fit in, etc. Reading the article makes me wish I could visit Australia and call over there for some Tarot. Well done!

I keep thinking that my local Border's Book Store ought to host a tarot meeting night. They seem very open to tarot. In fact, they finally have made their tarot case an open bookshelf, rather than it being under locked glass, like the pornographic DVDs. Bravo, Author!!!

Temperance Angel, Thanks for sharing!!! Congrats on your first published article. I agree, Tarot Cafe's around the world would be great. It would be really nice to make friends locally that share my tarot interests.
