Last night, while watching reruns of the Simpsons' I caught an entirely different episode where Tarot cards are used!!
I can't be the only one who knows about this too... (and of course I could barely restrain myself from pushing my husband outta the computer chair so I could get on AT to talk about it!)
It was the Halloween episode (seems like it was either 7 or 12, I remember II at the end) and the first "short" shows the whole Simpson family walking in to see a fortune teller.
A short conversation ensues, before Homer catches on fire (literally) and runs around catching the fortune teller's place on fire.
"Oh! Why didn't I see this coming?" wails the fortune teller, who has three Tarot cards before her.
The first two cards we see close up next. :D
They're "The Flaming Jerk" and "The Cursed Gypsie." :D
Wonder if these two cards will be showing up in a deck any time soon too? ;)

Surely there must already be a Simpson's deck in the making out there, somewhere...

(Alissa giggles)
Well, I think that's a darn good guess!
Situation : The Flaming Jerk
Advice : The Cursed Gypsie
Outcome : The Happy Squirrel
And, the gypsie did stand up and walk out of her booth, which was still on fire, with a tired, disgusted air about her.
There was a Simpsons' deck thread for fun I remember long ago ... Otto was the Chariot. :D

Why not just use an image of Jeff Daniels from "Dumb and Dumber"? You know, the scene at the gas station???
Kim (who actually owns the DVD of that movie)

Thanks for the link Bean Feasa! I remembered it wasn't too terribly old, glad you dug it up too.
And thank you for the correction Dead Star. I was working from memory... and in my brain, that can be a downright scary proposition..... ;)

The Flaming Jerk... should be a major I'd say. I know I'd use it.
Wonder what number you'd assign the Flaming Jerk in the majors? :D Twenty three? Twenty two for the Happy Squirrel and 23 for the Flaming Jerk?

I think the Happy Squirrel should not have number &
the Flaming Jerk a number like 87. (the number opposite of the 78 cards & doesn't really fit in)
