My sister did my cards the other day & said that the Empress + the moon = a pregnancy. The empress was in my environment & the moon crowning me. So a friend should be falling preggers soon. Which is good as my friend has had 2 miscarriage (the last one was pretty bad) I know she will make a lovely mother :)
My question is;
Does empress+moon=pregancy?

Depending on the context & the moment, The Empress & The Moon could equate with pregnancy or some other situation or condition.

I'm not sure about what others are, but I was told that the Empress, as well as the ace of chalices are traditional pregancy cards. When I first suspected that I may be pregnant, I did a small spread and turned up the ace of chalices and knew that I was going to have my daughter a week before I even missed my monthly period. I also turned up the nine of chalices which I usually read as 'the wish card' and remembered a dream I had just the night before in which I had told my fiance that I wished we could have a baby! Maybe you should watch for that card in a reading for your friend!
I think the moon is a good indicator, too since, to me, it symbolizes feminine aspects. There aren't many things more feminine than carrying a child.

I think plenty of cards could indicate a pregnancy: the Empress and the Moon as you stated, as well as cards like the Ace of Wands, the Sun, the 10 of Cups (it's always screamed 'family' to me), or even the 3 of Cups (3 symbolizes reproduction to me).
Of course, all the above cards could mean plenty of other things as well. It all depends on context and also what grabs your attention. One reading you might notice the full belly of the Empress and the relationship between the moon and menstrual cycles; the next reading you might instead notice the Empress' closeness to nature and the Moon's nature-based wildness.
Your sister sounds like she might be telling you what she's gleaning intuitively from the reading, or she might be telling you you're pregnant based solely on a meaning she read in a book. Perhaps you could ask her whether or not she actually felt that was the correct meaning to ascribe.
Also, in the same way that you might go to two doctors about an illness to get second opinions about diagnosis and treatment, you might want to go to another reader for a second opinion, or do a reading for yourself :)

Also pregnancy could not be literal, it could be referring to being full of new ideas that will soon become something tangible.

this was from a CC spread?
If so I would want to see more cards before I said that this was a pregnancy.
Was this a spread reciently done? for a Full Moon is about here.
The spread ould be speaking of the coming intuitions you might have through this time.....but I can't really say much without the surrounding cards.
Now if it was a two card reading- then I might consider pregnancy a little stronger.

I usually associate the Empress and the Ace of Wands, depending on the other cards and the question that was asked of course.

For me it's usually Empress or 3 of cups. Lately I found out that also 9 of cups may indicate pregnancy.

Those cards could indicate pregnancy, but I don't think it's a definite thing. I don't tend to associate the Moon with pregnancy, although it's easy to see how it could represent a pregnancy. The cards I tend to associate with pregnancy are the Ace of Cups, the Empress, and (for pregnancies that have been eagerly awaited and hoped for) the Nine of Cups and the Sun.

Since the moon is surrounded in mystery ... perhaps Empress + Moon = *false* pregnancy? The surrounding cards would fill in the blanks.
