I often look at the name of this Forum and it conjures up images of my Tarot cards actually talking to each other ;)
Yes, I know Tarot talks to us in many ways, through its images, colors, numerology, symbols etc etc etc. But what I am talking about here is your Tarot cards actually verbally talking to each other!!!!!
Here's the scenario, you lay down a spread and you are pondering over the situation/layout when you think: wouldn't a cup of tea be nice?
And that's it, as soon as you leave the room you cards actually start verbally talking to each other.
The World says: Gosh it's chilly in here, I need something to warm me up!
The Devil says: Hey baby, I'll come and warm you up })
The Two of Cups says to the Ten of Cups: You and I fit so wonderfully together.
And the Fool says to everyone: Come on, come on this is getting boring, everyone needs to start moving on, don't think about it. Just go for the adventure, live for the moment you guys.....
Anyone else think this???? Or is it just my warped sense of humour????
What do you think the cards say to each other? ;) XTAX

I'm already careful of upsetting them, now they are gossiping behind my back?!

Funny this.
I'm only new to tarot, but once I've done a spread I don't really like wandering off and "leaving them on their own" as such. I don't suspect them of talking to each other... I just feel a need to put them away pretty much as soon as I've studied them.
I hadn't really thought of this until seeing this thread...
Maybe I'm still feeling a little protective, like a new mother? ;)

The Nine of Swords is off in a corner, moping, "Ohhh whyyyyy???" while the 7 of swords makes off with her goods, "Shoulda been watchin, instead so wrapped up in yerself...."
Meanwhile, in the Majors' neighborhood, a gossip exchange can be overheard when the Empress, the High Priestess, Strength, and the Star all get together to talk over coffee....
"GOD! That Hierophant! He drives me nuts..." complains the Empress.
"Oh that's just because *you* just wanna hook up with him, and you know he's not interested in you. HE wants HER," says the Star, pointing to the High Priestess.
The High Priestess raises her cup of coffee and smiles while taking a sip, enigmatically, without saying a word.

The King of Cups and the King of Swords are at the banquet table, about to share the bountiful meal that has been served.
The King of Cups said, “I hate to break this to you, but the whispers in the court say that your queen has found a new lover.”
“What? That is preposterous!” laughed the Sword King. “That iron maiden wouldn’t know what love is.”
“Well, regardless of that, the known truth is, the rumor is milling,” the King of Cups responded.
The King of Swords leaned around the table to his peer, “We can’t have any nasty rumors milling about, mussing up my honor now, can we?”
A smile grew across both of their faces as the King of Cups silently shook his head.
“Send for my most loyal Knight!” roared the King of Swords. Then with a wink to his guest, he picked up his napkin placed it in his lap. They picked up their silverware and just about dove into the meal when the Knight of Wands reported to the King of Swords.
“Brave and loyal knight, I order you to seek out the Queen’s court and find out who she has taken to her bed,” demanded the Sword King.
“Yes, your highness,” was the immediate reply.
The knight turned on his heals and headed out the door.
With the flash of a smirk, the King turned and shouted, “Then find out whose wagging tongue started this rumor and cut it out!”
When he turned back around he found the King of Cups standing next to the table, abandoning the lunch feast. The King of Cups called for his attendants as he removed his napkin and tossed it into the now vacated chair.
“What is the meaning of this, SIR?” The King of Swords asked, with more than a little annoyance in his voice.
“I am truly sorry, dear friend,” started the reply. ”But if that was your most trusted knight, then I can’t afford to trust your food tasters either.”

The Fives all bunch up together, not going forwards and not going backwards. They seem kinda stuck in a rut. AND they love to stick together creating blocks...
The Aces are inside the deck and you can faintly hear a muffled cry *Let us out of here, LET US OUT....we have lots of new energy to share!!!!!*
The Tens roll their eyes  *those Aces always champing at the bit to get in there.....they need to be patient and LET THE CYCLE END.........*

The girls from the 3 of cups happened upon the boys from the 5 of wands, and all of the sudden, the boys' ruckus stopped and they hold their sticks loosely, wolf-whistling as the girls walked by, giggling amongst each other and batting their eyelashes at the men.
