I noticed that after doing a reading into which I really put my focus, my eyes succumb to blurry vision coupled with just a very faint hint of a headache. Nothing that would make me wanna take a nap. The blurry vision is the one that I am bothered by the most. I just did one reading, but already I'm suffering the effects. Do these things happen to anybody else?

You're not grounded enough, all your focus was directed in one area, then when you're done the body doesn't want to 'snap it back' into place. Sometimes there's a feel of energy depletion also, but all that is easily fixed by just closing your eyes, focusing on centering yourself back 'into you'/grounding, and then taking a deep breath & making sure you're fully in the present when you open them again.
It's a common technique, goes by many different names, but usually 'grounding & centering' are what it's called. It's been discussed on the list here several times.
If you don't do it, you'll either feel spacey, out of focus, borderline 'sick' sometimes, or just not feeling all there, sometimes for hours.

You know what, Hudson, I just did that, and it worked! Blurry vision and headache gone! And all cos I "grounded" and told myself that "I am in my own time" and "I am in my body"! WOW! I am truly amazed! How did that happen?

Hi Kittaine,
as well as the grounding, you might find a drink of water helps. I used to get really light-headed after doing readings but with the grounding and the water I'm ok after readings now.

It's how we shift energy in our body. Tarot is so focused, that it pulls energy to one side & you have to 'reset' things. On the other end of the scale, have you ever been at a crowded event like a wedding reception or fairgrounds & get a bit of time to yourself & realize you're completely drained when you shouldn't be? This is when you disperse out too much & are basically running on empty.
I'll see if I can find a site that explains it.
(Found three! Look where the technique overlaps, it's very common & similar all across the board):
It might look silly, but this one has a very good walk through on what to do.

One more thing: Centering and grounding are done before and after a reading, right? But the difference is, before a reading, you "connect" with the Universe or with a Higher Being, and after a reading, you connect back with yourself? Thanks again! :)

That's right. If you have people in front of you before you start, just close your eyes & focus on the deck & yourself, that'll be faster than doing a full 5 minute or 15 minute connection. But don't skimp on the 'after the readings are done' segment. It makes such a huge difference.

Besides HudsonGray's spot on advice...drink more water, and less carbonated and caffeinated beverages.

I have this experience too. I once read over 20 readings non stop and I felt my whole body drained and radiating heat. I was totally exhausted, and when I tried to continue reading, everything was wrong. I took a bath and everything resumed to normal. Bad experience. :(

Hmmm only thing i notice after a reading is pins and needles in my legs!
I sit cross legged on my bed and during the reading i'm fine because my focus is on the cards, but when i'm finished - well its one way to ground, abit of pain! lol
Blessings

Well, i too, was once experiencing these!
I would get really sleepy after one or two reading.....
But, i'm now very good, and fine, after more than two readings....
I don't know how i overcome these , though!:P
Perhaps you could put something behind you, when you've done a reading, look at it, and it reminds you, that you are you!!
Hope this helps?....:)
