if the quarrent ask about his/her tarot cards, what spread should i use? for example, if the quarrent ask "what do my cards want me to know now?" , what spread can be used for this question?
someone has asked me this question...and i don't know how to handle it now......:(
please, anyone, suggest a spread for me and tell me the details of the spread......!
i'll appreciate all your help!....

In any spur of the moment request, I pull one card to stand for the issue/question and three cards to reflect things to consider (no specific position per card).
This spread always brings up clear information for me.

I believe what Imagemaker was describing is a technique I use as well.
One card she uses and identifies as the "Issue". This card therefore has an assigned meaning.
The other three cards she lays out do NOT have assigned "meanings," such as "Situation-Advice-Outcome" or "Past-Present-Future".
Instead, by having no assigned meanings, the reader challenges themselves to simply see the cards, and find how the card's meanings answer the question or issue at hand.
I find this a very good technique, but it requires the reader feel comfortable with "letting go" of some of the structure of a typical spread.

A good all purpose spread I got from Phyllis Vega's Power Tarot and is called the Quickie 3. The issue/the present cirucumstance/the outcome or advice of the cards. This has been good for me for general what do the cards want me to know questions...but it is all personal and subjective....
