Divination and reverse

I'm just learning tarot and I'm wondering how does divination and reverse work?

I look up the cards in my deck with the book that goes with my deck and it lists Divination and Reverse, I was just wondering if anyone knows what they are, I was thinking that Divination was the positive part of the card and reverse was the negatives of the card but im not sure...Thank you seems like a great place. :)

ya know, rep, i think that it was a slihgt clarical error on the part of the author. divination, if it appears before each list of meanings for each card, are the upright, normal meanings for the card. reverse, is the reversed meaning for the card in other words, when the card is upside down. hope thats what you meant.. and i welcome you to aeclectic too! you will learn much here. good journey!
