I was just wondering if there was a website I could go that for every card in a tarot deck there was a list of key words. I have a book that before the description of a card, it has one key word. The word it has is either too specific to always hold accurate, or it's too broad that it can be interpreted in multiple ways. Why I want this is because I'm making my own deck, and I want to be guided more on words than meaning than on images. I'm sorry if this post is in the wrong place, but it seemed to fit under mutiple sections, so I put it here. Thank you for your help.

Besides the Golden Dawn keywords, I find the psychological keywords of Art Rosengarten powerful:

Scroll down to the three-part Complete Tarot Lexicon.

Joan Bunning's website might be useful. In the Tarot Cards section, she provides meanings for each card, starting with a few keywords that encompass the overall energy of the card, then a longer list of more specific key meanings. There's a lot more she throws in, but I think the keywords bit alone is worth a look :)

I second Rusty Neon in suggesting Art Rosengarten (Tarot and Psychology). He offers lists for several purposes; simple one word lists, deeper lists, phrases, descriptive paragraphs. PLUS, he does some great interprative work using clusters of cards within the Celtic Cross spread. His book is one that must be read by anyone interested in more than superficial and simplistic readings. Dave.

What I found very effective when I was making my deck was to get several books on tarot, as well as checking online too, and open them all to a description of the card I was working on--by comparing and contrasting what they all say about the same card, you can get a very good overview on what it's supposed to show by how the meanings overlap.
