If a thread like this has been posted...sorry for the repeat!
The other day I was giving my good friend a reading. It was okay, she was having relationship problems. I saw things not getting any better so we decided to do another reading. So I handed her the cards, and she shuffled a while. But when I laid them back out they were the exact same cards, in the exact same positions!!!
Now I have had the cards the pop out when you shuffle show up in a spread but never has this happened!
So I was wondering why do you think this happened? Do you think it was because it was an important message, and the cards were making sure I knew that, or do you think it was because I had misinterpreted the reading, and it was giving me a second chance?
Any thoughts are appreciated!

Woah strange...
Well, I always assumed no two Readings would be the same, because as soon as you see a Reading and take some knowledge out of it, you would need to be told something different the second time...
I think there was no better way to represent what was going on, then what was already told the first time.
I think your friend and you must have had quite a scare!

I agree with Kahlie, there was definitely something in the first reading that you were being told to take note of and the cards weren't going to let you move on until you did! The same thing happened to me and my partner when I did a reading for me and then for him. Freaked me out too I can tell you!
Blessings x

Oooooo! Could I ask how large the spread was? I think it is amazing that ALL the cards appeared in the exact same spread position. I have had this happen to me with one or two cards in a spread, but never with the whooooooooooooooole lot of them! LOL.
I agree with what Middy and Kahlie have already said. I think that it was emphasising that the answer you sought was to be found in those specific cards, and no others.

Ivy Rhiannon: I have seen this happen--as awesome as it may be, it still spooks!
There is no clearer message than a duplication of a previous throw.

This must have been quite a shock!
I agree with others, certainly those cards said it best.
One thing - when you collected the cards back up before the re-shuffle, did you pick them up in any particular order, or did you just swoop them back up any old how?
Not that it really matters - the point is they all came out again! Amazing.

I always use the celtic cross spread, just never use the meanings for the positions, I just read. And I picked them up in no paticular order.
So you guys think it was because the message was important. Now I'm worried. I saw the guy she was with changing. It was almost like he was two people, you know. I thought maybe the way he was acting was like a mask. I told her that the darker side of his personality would come out. He is native american and works alot with his culture. Then he sort of just dropped it, and went to paganism after the reading.
I hope I'm wrong and everything works out for them!
Thanks everyone who has and will post!

Sorry guys this is off subject, but how do you put smilies in the body of the message, I've tried and cant figure it out!

Ivy Rhiannon: It seems that whatever impressions received from the original reading, the second time around expresses it doubly--as the expression goes: "in spades!"
Perhaps what ye saw as him changing refers to the change in spiritual interest such as to something more expressive of his sensibilities. I would not, however, try to second-guess after the original take.
I may be wrong but it does not seem too long a stretch to switch from a Native American spirituality (which can be seen as a form of Paganism in that it does not rely on monotheism or the conventional Western spiritualities) to a Pagan one. There are similarities which can include a deep respect for the earth; a desire to live in harmony with the environment; multiple deities; honouring the ancesters &/or calling upon them for guidance; ritual.

Well his job was to go and teach children about the native american history, and he went to pow wows, and then bam, now its all pagan...
