*Gasp*.. Only five!

Thread originally posted on the Aeclectic Tarot Forum on 13 Jul 2004, and now archived in the Forum Library.

I know this question has been asked before in various ways, but I like to revive these threads from time to time.. As new decks come out and preferences change, it is always fun to see what decks people hold the nearest and dearest......

So, let's pretend that the EVIL Tarot Goblin has come to your house and has threatened to eat all of your decks

He has allowed you to save *only* five (tarot, oracles, etc.)...

Which five would you save?

Mimers  13 Jul 2004
Tarot of Prague
Robin Wood
Merryday
Osho Zen
Ancestral Path

In that order, I think. Wow, that was a really tough question!

Luminessence  13 Jul 2004
I don't have nearly as many decks as most of the people here - I've only got seven - but it would still be hard to choose which two to leave behind...

Here are my choices, in no particular order, with explanations for each:
Sacred Circle (This was the first deck I bought for myself, and it's the deck I really learned to read the cards with)
Robin Wood (This is my most traditional deck, and it's often the clearest and easiest to use)
Ancestral Path (This deck is great for spiritual questions, and while I'm sometimes ambivalent about the Minor Arcana, it has the most wonderful Major Arcana I've seen in any deck)
Quest Tarot (I love the vibrancy and energy of this deck, although I have an off-and-on relationship with it - sometimes it works wonderfully for me, and sometimes I just can't get a coherent answer out of it)
Tarot of Transformation (I don't really like the alternative meanings for the cards in this deck, but the artwork is absolutely wonderful)

Although... I might substitute Legend: The Arthurian Tarot for the Tarot of Transformation... This is harder than it looks!

Imagemaker  13 Jul 2004
Osho Zen--for the view from the Higher Self
Fey--for a different way to look at things
Hadar Marseilles--for the non-pips view
Victoria Regina--for the black/white guns/pens alternative
Spiral--for standard readings with a twist

These are my current favorites.

miss_apples  13 Jul 2004
Well at least for me 5 decks would be most of my collection.

My choices would be......

1. The Goddess Tarot
2. The Gendron Tarot
3. Healing with the Angels Oracle
4. Healing with the Fairies Oracle
5. Tarot of a Moon Garden

Centaur  13 Jul 2004
1. Thoth
2. Universal-Waite
3. Secret Tarot
4. Victoria Regina
5. Bosch Tarot

:)

Jewel-ry  13 Jul 2004
Tarot de Marseilles - Hadar
Tarot de Marseilles - Camoin
Tarot of Prague
Crystal Tarot
Soprafino

This was tricky. I had to convince myself that I really wouldn't need three TdM's and had to move my Fournier to sixth postion!

I feel such a traitor.

:)

Sulis  13 Jul 2004
1. Morgan Greer
2. World Spirit
3. Goddess Oracle
4. Cosmic
5. Tarot of Prague

Love

Sulis xx

DeLani  13 Jul 2004
1. Small Thoth - just powerful
2. Osho Zen - so beautiful and meaningful
3. TAO Oracle - gets right to the point, no ambiguity
4. World Spirit - lively, colorful, and diverse
5. Nigel Jackson - not so much for me (though I love it's delicate artwork and Renaissance-ish style), but it's so good for "public" readings.
Funny you asked this question, and picked the number 5. I've been couch-surfing for 6 mos. now, and these are the decks I have here with me; the rest are in storage. So I guess it was pretty easy to answer!

Diana  13 Jul 2004
Tarot of Marseilles - Kris Hadar
Tarot of Marseilles - Grimaud
Tarot of Marseilles - Conver (Heron)
Tarot of Marseilles - Dusserre
Tarocchi di Vetro - Elisabetta Trevisan (Lo Scarabeo)

OakDragon  13 Jul 2004
Hmm. Tough descision. I'd have to say:

1. Gilded Special Edition

2. Rohrig

3. Osho Zen

4. Quest

5. Voyager

Interesting to note I had alot of trouble with the number five spot. I was waffling between the Baseball Tarot and the Russian Tarot of St. Petersburg at first, then it suddenly occurred to me that I owned the Voyager and the Quest (purchased recently but haven't looked at them much yet. When they're clamoring for attention with the likes of the Gilded and OZ, they lose out. :( ) I was going to include the Radiant RWS, but it occurred to me I could get a replacement RWS clone just about anywhere.

Summerdream  13 Jul 2004
1. Gilded
2. Illuminated
3. Samantha's
4. Inner Child
5. Ancestral Path

Cerulean  13 Jul 2004
1. Visconti (1974 Longbardica/U.S. Games) w/S.K. English booklet or 1994 Il Menghello version with G. Mandel Italian summary - I like the Italian divinatory meanings, so I would use the Il Menghello more. Both look like the Dal Negro reprint, large version.

2. Thoth (blue box and paper booklet by "Tarot Hermit")

3. Ananda--my best reading deck with book. Every time I see a sci-fi/fantasy movie, I can do storyboard outlines with it.*

4. Golden Estensi--it's all about Ferarra

5. Rider Waite Smith - 1971 U.S. Games with New York address, original paper booklet, matte coating. Color is flat and lighter than other versions I've seen.

If I decided to go for history rather than filmic storyboarding, I'd trade the Ananda for my Swiss Marsiglia 1804 or Neoclassical 1806-1811.

lunakasha  13 Jul 2004
This is a tough one.....

1. Gilded

2. Osho Zen

3. Madame Endora cards

4. Rohrig

5. Quest

:) Luna

EDITED so I can sneak my Thothie into my pocket...shhhhh he'll never know, hehehe!!! })

Flavio  13 Jul 2004
The evil Tarot Goblin? thank Goddess someone else has seen it... thought I was becoming crazy :P

OK here are my selections:

1.- World Spirit: we are still knowing each other.
2.- Legend: Arturian Tarot: my 1st gift deck from my boyfriend as a way to support my "new hobbie".
3.- Mini Hanson Roberts: I feel lucky to have it, you can not locate it anywhere in Mexico.
4.- Bosch Tarot: the mistery have not been revealed yet...
5.- Avalon Tarot: My 1st deck... can not read with it but has a special place in my heart.

I can always get another RWS ;)

Edited to correct spelling

WooMonkey  13 Jul 2004
OUCH!

1. Albano-Waite
2. International Icon
3. Vertigo
4. Faerie's Oracle
5. Sacred Geometry Oracle
(probably Greer, although I do love my Hart one also!)

This was tough!

lark  13 Jul 2004
Here are my "five fab faves."

1. Gilded Special Edition
2. Golden Tarot
3. Robin Wood
4. Morgan Greer
5. And my dear Faerie's Oracle (of course)

Now if I could get dolphinprincess to keep the EVIL TAROT GOBLIN busy for a few minutes.
How she does this is totally up to her. })

I would shove the~
1. Angel and Fairy Oracle by Wulfling
2. Rune Cards by Linsell and Partridge
3. Illuminated
4. Margeret Peterson
5. Holloween
6. Nigel Jackson
7. World Spirit
8. International Icon Tarot (wonderful deck)
9. Spiral
10. Universal RWS
11. Russian Gypsy Fortune Telling Cards
12. And my sweet little Fournier Marseilles
down my pants......
because #1 my pants are roomy
and # 2 when dealing with an EVIL TAROT GOBLIN cheating is totally expected.

dadsnook2000  13 Jul 2004
Fey Tarot
Robin Wood
Waite-Smith
Witches Tarot
Tarot of Praque

The hard part would be if I had to choose fewer, perhaps two. AHGGG. That would be a cruel request by the evil Tarot Goblin. Dave.

Pook  13 Jul 2004
That NASTY little goblin....})

I suppose I would save....

* The Fey tarot....my current favorite and the one I read the most with right now
* Dragon tarot.....love the Dragons..ther's just something magical about them
* Legend-The Aurthurian Tarot...one of my newer decks...still breakin 'em in
* The Shapeshifter Tarot....I really like the non-traditional page, knight, king, queen order
and, um.......I guess
* The Gill Tarot.....one of my first and one that (with the keywords on the cards and all) really helped me to learn

****but maybe if I could sneak just one more.....I would take my Moongarden as well****

Imagemaker  13 Jul 2004
We-ell, if we're going to start cheating, then I get to add
Morgan Greer
Faery Oracle
Thoth

Sitting at work, trying not to laugh hysterically . . . and failing. (people are looking at me turning purple)

bwahahahaha

Gerbear  13 Jul 2004
Hard!

1. Tarot of the Crone
2. Apocalisse
3. Toscano
4. Gilgamesh
5. Wollenhaupt-Brenner

This could be the start of a new collection. I could go to the corner bookstore and get reading decks of any style. If I could entice the goblin into a snack in the kitchen, I'd be able to hide another fifty decks, maybe more!

WolfSpirit  13 Jul 2004
Hehe...you can always recognize the true taroholics in these threads...they always cheat })

Tarot of Prague
Golden Tarot
Ancestral Path
Merryday
Swedish Witch

I can't push that many decks in my pants  I'll sneak the Ferret tarot in, it's a small deck and they love sneaky schemes (they have to keep quiet though...)

Gerbear  13 Jul 2004
Since he said only 'five', with no unit of measure, then I choose to take that as five per cent. Five % of my decks would let me keep twenty two decks, so my other seventeen are;

Minotarot - Egyptian Gods Tarot
Tarot of the Spirit - Mary-El
Wild Flower Tarot - Sandro Pipino
Enrico Prometti - Hofman-Barth
Dragon/Secrist - 723 Tarot
Penny Farthing Tarot - Via Tarot
Mystic Pug Tarot - Pinocchio/Valcauda
Thoth - Morgan's
Tarot 22/Yuko

A technicality isn't cheating. :)

CreativeFire  13 Jul 2004
I don't have that many decks (only 13) - but some particular favourites so this was fairly easy:

1. Universal Waite
2. Thoth
3. Sharman-Caselli
4. Sacred Circle
5. Gilded Tarot (once I get it in September :D) - so leaving a spot in the Goblin escape pod for it now!

Quick, post before I change my mind!

Gerbear I am so impressed!
Now that is what I call elegant, sophisticated cheating.
You could give jmd a few lessons... :)

It was also great fun to see what your top 5 decks were because you have such an unusual collection of deck.
Most I've never heard of.

Tarot Sparrow  13 Jul 2004
Great question. I have only 10 decks right now, but of those I would save:

Faeries Oracle (because it's the best oracle there is)
Hudes Tarot (because it was my first deck)
Fey Tarot (because it's beautifully evocative)
Tarot of Transformation (because it looks and reads amazingly)
Swietlistej Drogi (because it took me forever to acquire)

But then there's the Thoth. Hmm.... :D

Little Baron  13 Jul 2004
Rohrig
Phantasmagoric
Enoil Gavat
Morgan Greer
1JJ Swiss
*Not forgetting my awaited 'Soprafino'. Then again, if the post is as good as usual round here, the goblin will be long gone before the postman arrives lol*

Alta  13 Jul 2004
I have about 10 'absolute favourites'. Okay, top 5.

1. Tarot of Prague, 2nd edition
2. World Spirit
3. Shining Tribe
4. Osho Zen
5. Thoth

I am sure that in ten minutes I will disagree with myself. :(

Moongold  13 Jul 2004
Tarot of Prague
Fournier Marseilles
Ancient Egyptian (Barrett)
Thoth
Rider Waite Smith (I've gone back to it!)

I've just bought the Pythagorean and am finding a preliminary look fascinating

Logiatrix  13 Jul 2004
Hmmm...5%? Or hide some down my pants?
Well, 5% of my collection is still only about five, and I don't have baggy enough pants. :(
Besides, I'm a really lousy liar!
Any-hoo, here's the five I chose:

~Healing w/the Angels Cards
~Whimsical Tarot
~Herbal Tarot
~Medicine Woman Tarot
~Tarot of Love

I'm stil awaiting some decks in trades, so that'll probably change.
Whew, that's a difficult decision!
Thank goodness there's really no such thing as the "Tarot Goblin," heh-heh.
Hey, what was that noise?
;)

Chronata  13 Jul 2004
sigh. I hate these questions. They are way too hard.:D

Well...seeing as I always wear skirts, the shoving decks down my pants route just aint gonna happen.

Hmmmm...
allright I will grab these decks...

1. Hanson Roberts
2. Faeries Oracle
3. Morgan Greer
4. Ferret tarot
5. Madame Endora's Fortune cards

Then I will distract the card-munching Tarot Goblin by leading him to my vast collection of regular playing card decks ("look...these are tarot...really they are!")

And while he dines on those...I will rush to the cabinet and save...
Buckland Romani
Medicine Cards for today
Morgans Tarot
CLOW cards
Aquarian
Vertigo
1JJ Swiss
Animal Lords
and my first deck...my well worn RWS

I will throw them out the window, before he notices them...and then let him have everything else while I quickly run down the stairs and rescue my beloved decks.

(Hopefully he will too full to even notivce the oracle decks I keep in the other room....) :D

dolphinprincess  13 Jul 2004
I am enjoying the stories on how to dstract and /or cheat the Tarot Goblin as much as I am enjoying seeing what decks everyone picks... :D :D

Ruby7  13 Jul 2004
o.k. here goes....sob...

Victoria Regina
Tarot of Prague
Hanson Roberts
Tarot de Marseille (Hadar)
Healing with the Angels

Ruby7

LadyMedusa  13 Jul 2004
Well, since 5 decks would be 10% of my collection, Gerbear's technicality doesn't help :( .
Sooo

Golden Tarot
Greenwood
Lrg.Thoth
Osho
Russian St Petersburg

 ooo!!!! my daughter only own's one deck so she can take that and four of mine:D. It's not cheating since it's 5 decks per deck owner and she really did buy her own deck herself.

Whimsical (hers)
Universal Waite
Faerie's Oracle
Legend Arthurian (1st ed.)
Celtic Dragon ( somebody's gotta save those cute baby dragons)

LadyMedusa

Kath  13 Jul 2004
1. Universal Waite
2. Victoria Regina
3. Thoth
4. Osho Zen
5. Halloween

I only have a dozen decks, so I thought this would be easy, I was wrong! Hmmm, if I bash the goblin over the head with a blunt and heavy object, I could sneak out my Vargo, Ship of Fools, Hanson Roberts and Tarot for Cats while he was concussed.

Sillanza  14 Jul 2004
The Tarot Goblin wouldn't have much to chew on at my house! I'd let him have the funky but never used square deck a well-meaning friend gave me, which means I'd keep:

New Palladini
Spiral
Quest
Rhorig
RWS

le pendu  14 Jul 2004
Cosmic Tribe
Tarot of Prague
Thoth
William Blake
Tarot of Marseilles (Flornoy's Noblet)

Umbrae  14 Jul 2004
Swietlistej Drogi

International Icon

Vargo Gothic

Hadar Marseilles

Swiss 1JJ

But the evil tarot goblin knows that I only own five decks. Nope… don’t have any others…for all followers of Ooolatek the Seditious One Who Tells Only Lies will tell you, “We only have five…trust us…”

I just looked down and saw Astra’s post…the Hoi Polloi. Yeah, worn battered, wrapped in an old thick yellow cloth…Yeah…it’s a keeper.

And besides…we only have five…

Astra  14 Jul 2004
The WorldTree Tarot (it's MINE, d****t!
The Ferret Tarot - my best defense against somberness and angst
The Hoi Polloi (finally found the original deck in the process of packing to move - battered and worn, and yellowing, but a great deck)
The Robin Wood Tarot
The World Fantasy Tarot

My choice, however, is to hunt around for an axe and make the evil Tarot goblin regret that it ever had such a thought.

WolfSpirit  14 Jul 2004

I have the same problem...

Quote:
 ooo!!!! my daughter only own's one deck so she can take that and four of mine:D. It's not cheating since it's 5 decks per deck owner and she really did buy her own deck herself.

Now that would help...I'll start distributing my decks (and hope I get them back)

 Don't think so...I'm never any good at subtle insinuations...
And if you were fat, you would not have space for all those decks !! So: no, of course it isn't !

WolfyJames  14 Jul 2004
When I came in here, there was a thread like that, except we could only bring one deck (there was a fire). I only had one deck then, so the answer was fairly easy. Now that I have many, I find this question very very tough, even though I can keep four more decks.

There's no way I can leave without...

my lovely witches in Good Witch Bad Witch (Gillian Kemp);

The Gothic Tarot (Vargo);

The Enchanted Tarot (Zerner-Farber);

The Golden Tarot (Kat Black);

The Light And Shadow Tarot (Goepferd & Williams).

Of course, I could decide to use my sharp fangs against the troll and save a few decks more.

And Umbrae, I'm proud of you, the Gothic Tarot (Vargo) is in your list. ;)

genie  14 Jul 2004
I say shoot the Tarot Goblin, heck, I live in Texas. We carry guns here. I can't live without any of my decks. I lost a card, ONE SINGLE card, from one of my least favorite decks and I've been frantic ever since. I've been walking around my office and my home holding a pendulum in the air hoping it would tell me where the card might be. I feel like a mother who was so neglectful that she left her five year old at the mall all alone. How could a decent human being lose one card from a deck?? I think I would have preferred to have lost the entire deck! Anyway, I'd shoot the goblin. I keep all my tarot stuff together in a briefcase, if there's a fire in the middle of the night I can grab that case and run. Leave No Card Behind!!!!

Imagemaker  14 Jul 2004
Genie, you may be able to get a replacement card. I did that for my lost Chariot in my Victoria Regina deck. I called Lewellyn (publisher) and they sent one right out.

Hi WolfSpirit, just teasing you a little bit. :)
My husband says I'm cozy.
So that is somewhere between too thin and too fat.
I'm "just right" as Goldielocks would say.
Oh and that reminds me...I wonder if I could stick my Hanson Roberts deck in my sock?

Nycelle  14 Jul 2004
Stoopid goblin.

1. Rock N Roll - Paradis

2. Vampire - Hertz

3. Winged Spirit

4. Cosmic

5. Glastonbury

The rest will be flung from the window to safety when the goblin is cackling and thus not looking.

laura_borealis  14 Jul 2004
I know the first deck I'd throw to the tarot eating goblin: the Tarot Nova. It might actually be a pleasure to see that one chewed up.

Then with a tiny qualm, I'd fling him the Lupatelli Fairy Tarot. It's cute but really I can't find any depth to it at all. I don't think it will satisfy the goblin long, either. Sure enough, it melts to sugar on his tongue and he looks to me for more.

My Aquarian would go next. Goblin might linger over this one, savoring the worn cards, those cool faces and art deco borders slowly shredded. The Spanish... I want a Marseilles, but this one can go to the goblin. Goblin burps and fragments of El Diablo spray out.

With a qualm, I'd toss him the Thoth next. Dag, I'll want that one for comparisons someday. Well, hard times call for hard decisions. Maybe its fabled icky green tint will give him indigestion.

Whispering "Goodbye, faithful old friend," I sadly doom Robin Wood to the rending jaws. "Sacrifices must be made... I'm sure you understand." I turn away so I don't have to watch.

"That leaves me with five complete decks. Are you satisfied?" I ask the goblin. "I think you know the answer to that," he replies. "You can pretend the Chat du Marseilles doesn't count because it's trumps only, but you know you have to fork over one more." As I hesitate, he begins to growl impatiently. I can feel the low rumble in my bones.

One more. I weigh the Rohrig and the Fey in either hand. Rohrig has that amazing art. It's dark and deep. And I've had it so long. But I connect more with the Fey. They helped me so much this past winter, when I was so terribly sad. I can't give up my Fey. I close my eyes and toss the Rohrig into the air. I hear a snap and click of teeth, then a *foomp*. Opening my eyes, I see that the goblin has vanished in a puff of smoke.

I gather the Tarot of Prague, the Fey, the Chat du Marseilles, the Cosmic Tribe, and the Faeries' Oracle to my heart and weep for the ones I lost.

Emily  14 Jul 2004
I think the five I would save would be:-

The Morgan Greer :)
The Golden - Kat Black
Large Thoth
Rohrig
Universal Waite

Then I would fling the 5th Realm Tarot cd at him, frisbee style and try to knock him out, giving me chance to hide my other decks. :D - and if it didn't knock him out, he could eat it. :)

Well...

I've been trying (unsuccessfully) to hone down my collection. Five sounds about right.

Universal Waite
Sharman-Caselli
Nigal Jackson
Thoth
Tao Oracle

OH WOW!!

I just did a quick search. "Tarot Demon" + "banishment". It referred me to: www.saveyourcards.com.

Between 'Removing Those Nasty Smudges Left By Querents With Greasy Hands' and 'Techniques of Restoring Bend or Crimped Cards' I found 'Tarot Demons: Prevention and Banishment'

Since we're assuming that the tarot demon has already arrived, Prevention is useless (besides a square yard of gold yard is a bit expensive...).

Here are the directions for banishing a Tarot Demon.

1. Quickly throw a deck of standard playing cards at the Demon, making sure it goes between Its legs. As They are not too bright, It will bend over and look between Its legs to see where the deck went.

2. While the Demon turns to retrieve the deck, get out your full-length mirror.

3. The Demon, discovering the deck to be no more than playing cards, will let out a great roar. This will last for a good twenty seconds.

4. While the Demon is busy making Ungodly Noises, position your mirror so the Demon will see the reflection of your collection.

5. The Demon, now finished with his outburst, will look for your decks.

6. Faining fear, point to the reflection of your cards, and say (using these exact words): "Please, please, oh Thou Tarot Demon. Take pity on me and spare my cards!!" Be convincing. Think of the Perils of Pauline.

7. The Demon will let out a Demonic Laugh at your plea and leap at the mirror.

8. While the Demon is scratching at the mirror trying to get the reflected cards, draw an Inverted Pentacle in the air between you and the Demon. Start at the upper left, imagining it to be a vivid electric blue.

9. The Demon, finally realizing you have tricked him again, will turn to you and let out another roar. This time It will bare Its fangs. This is an EXTREMELY unnerving sight. Do not let it shake you up. Keep in mind at all times that the Demon eats ONLY tarot cards. It may threaten to eat YOU first, but it is entirely a bluff.

10. Point your finger at the Demon. Your finger should point through the center of your pentagram.

11. You must wait until the Demon stops roaring. The banishment will not work if It cannot hear your command.

WARNING: If the Demon reaches you before you finish, It will not only eat ALL your decks, but will make sure any decks you buy from that point on are missing The Devil.

12. Spit on the ground in front of the Demon and quickly chant: 'ROTA TORA ATOR ORAT'

13. The Demon will immediately be sucked into the mirror.

14. Holding the mirror under the light of the full moon will vanquish it. It is suggested that you wear gloves while holding the mirror so as not to get Demon Goo on your hands. Tarot Demon Goo does not wash off easily and the lest little bit will disolve tarot cards.

YIKES!!!
I'd be beating the nasty thing with a stick, anything to keep it away from my decks!
He'd be lucky to find all my decks! Even thought I have a specific place that they all belong, they usually are scattered about. I'm not really sure how many decks I have, for I never can seem to get them all in one place at one time......
but most definatly- if it was just five.

Native American
Legends
Fey
Cat People
ooo
Ohohoh
errrr
ummmm

Infinite- I'd let that one go because I know I could get another real easy after the beasty had gone away...
ummm
ooo...
it would have to be either, Waking the Wild Spirit or Fantastical....

I'll try yhr shove thing, one deck {or two} should not be noticeable.

ohhh this is hard, do I have to include my own decks in the 5 or can I have a gimme for them? :)

1 Fey deck
2 Halloween Tarot
3 Tarot of Mermaids
4 Fradella Adventure Tarot
5 Miniature Albano Waite (my favorite shuffling deck)

If my own decks arn't a gimmie I would knock off the bottom two :)

Ravenswing, that was brilliant!

Too bad it was too late to save my poor decks... *cries*

Hmm, I only have 2 decks, so I'm not sure what I would say to only having 5 decks.

In this order!

1.) The Gothic Tarot (Vargo)
2.) Faerie's Oracle (Froud)
3.) Das Elfen Orakle
4.) Celtic Dragon Tarot
5.) Fey Tarot

Well and of course all the wonderful trinkets I have bought to keep with these decks ;)

September Pixie  15 Jul 2004
.... and then of course, I would get about 5 friends to help save the rest of my collection!

Get thee behind me, Louise.
Louise is the Demons name. I know these thing because I have RSVP. While singing "Louie Louie" in my cracked crones voice, I would do a modified funky chicken with a real chicken while invoking the Morrigan.

The 5 (5? Wattaya, a pervert??) I would risk my chickens' life to save are:

Celtic Tarot-Courtney Davis
Osho Zen
Buckland Romani
Greenwood
New Vision
Shining Tribe (Sssh! Demons can't Actually count !!)

If neccessary, I would drag another chicken into the menage-arie, and offer to fix the Demon up with a girl I know who likes exotic types. (leer)

Finially realizing that this is a true emergency I would break out the emergency rubber chicken and whirling it by the neck advance on the demon with a water gun full of woad. It is a well known fact that under these circumstances tarot demons cry out"O Woad Has Me!" and Immediatly vomit up ALL the decks they've eaten and vanish with a nasty smell, leaving a greasy stain on the now-unmentionable rug.

About all these decks, folks....hehehe...

crystal cove  15 Jul 2004
1) Tarot de la Felicite
2) TdM- Hadar
3) Hermetic
4) Sacred Geometry Oracle- Greer
5) Soprafino

Ever notice that no matter how many choices one is allowed you always wish for *one more*? ;) I need my Osho Zen too....I'll just sneak that one.

September Pixie  15 Jul 2004
someone should have warned us that Tarot is like potato chips... you CAN'T have just one!

VGimlet  16 Jul 2004
Well, the Tarot Goblin would not have a fun time at my house, first Nemo the very big dog would drool all over him, and snuffle him with his big soft nose, and then Suzy the smaller big dog would bark at him....and then...he'd probably get "Tinked".

(Tink is the evil cat.) However, should he avoid all those things, which I doubt, because Tink is notorious for catching anything that scuttles I would be left with:

1. Thoth
2. Universal RWS
3. Amber
4. Rock and Roll (Paradis)
5. Mary-el majors

Of course, he couldn't TOUCH all those things that I have on order , or pre - ordered, so ffffft to him, and really, the only decks I have are in the bedroom anyway....No...stay AWAY from the china cabinet....

edited for clarity and to correct late-night mistakes...
