Health readings...

Hi All, I'd like to have some advice from someone who's experienced with health readings. I got a request to do a health reading, and I was wondering if there are health-related meanings that are attributed to the cards. For instance, what card would relate to a specific organ, or if the suits mean anything. I imagine there could be specific decks and spreads available for more accurate health readings as well... Links to articles or books are very welcome. Anyways, any advice in this direction would be much appreciated. thanks in advance!

Aun in Tarot Reversals by Mary Greer she has a line or two for each card about how it can be seen in a health reading. I've found these very helpful. For instance the Hierophant relates to ear nose and throat conditions. Using that as a guide I told a woman in a reading I did Sunday that the cards indicated her husband had, had throat surgery. And the after affects of the surgery had caused him to feel living life now was a burden. It turned out he had throat cancer, and that was exactly the case.

Wow, that was very accurate Lark (unfortunately...) Thank you for the indication, I think this is exactly what i am looking for. Actually I've seen excellent reviews on this book, and I'll purchase it first thing in the morning! thanx a bunch

It really is one of the best all round tarot books. The title Tarot Reversals is misleading. It is packed with info. about upright cards as well a reversals, what a card means in a health reading or a spiritual reading and also at the bottom of each page is the traditional upright and reversed meaning for the card. If I could only have one tarot book seriously this would be the one.

Great, I actually use reversals when I read with my Waite deck, but most of the time i read with the Thoth without reversals. Nevertheless, any additional information is always valuable, and Tarot For Yourself, also by Greer, is one of my Favorite books... so I know what to expect from it...

In one of my books, 'Power Tarot', by Trish MacGregor and Phyllis Vega, there is a section about health for every card. This was one of my first tarot books and is still the one I use the most when stumped by a reading. Though I have others now that are invaluable to me, I love that there are interpretations for many different aspects. Each card is divided into...'in a reading', 'work', 'romance', 'finances', 'health', 'spirituality', and 'empowerment'. I hope you can get as much help from it as I have. Good Luck

Thank you Moondreamer Never heard of this book, but I will certainly look after it. If its still available, I'll get both books.
