Reading while on medication

What is your experience with trying to do readings while you've got some kind of medication in your system (cough syrup, painkillers, or something stronger)? I'm currently doped up on Naprosyn for cramps and wondering whether I should leave the cards alone until my head's less fuzzy. ;)

If you feel too fuzzy to read, or if you find that reading drains you when you are in this state, then I would put the cards away for now.

On the other hand, if reading or just flipping through the cards would soothe your mind or take it off of your cramps, I don't see any harm in it. Maybe keep the questions simple and try not to get into a deep reading at this time.

I'm on medication all the time, personally...

Hi Littlehermit,
I would agree with Laura_borealis. If you don't feel up to it, don't. Otherwise, I don't see any problems. I am on daily medication. Sometimes it makes me really tired and I just can't concentrate. Other times I'm fine. Before I was on medication I would have day that I was too tired to read so I don't really think there is much difference.

I'm going the other way... I say if the meds are making you feel a bit off break out the deck, do a reading and see if you get a whole new point of view. You might have a perscription strength shamanic experience. Lots of folks say one should never do readings after drinking but I've had some very deep, moving readings after having a few.

Fuzzy can be a breakthrough.
Back in the days, we used to read under all sorts of conditions that health-concious people would not consider doing now.
If you can understand that last sentence you are fine to read. And if you can understand that sentence, please explain it to me, I'm late for my meds.
:D
