Readings for Soccer

Europa 2004... Who watches euro cup? Though I neither watch soccer nor bet, I'm curious in knowing which team is going to emerge as the winner. Portugal vs Greece.

Feel like using tarot to find out but I'm uncertain of whether its appropriate to do so. Anyone wants to do a reading for the last match or has already done so?

Diana  02 Jul 2004
I would love to do such a reading! But in our family, we make bets before each match, and my family have FORBIDDEN me to use my Tarot cards or my pendulum, because they say that would be cheating.

Pull a card for each team.... A two card reading should be sufficient. If both cards seem to be equivalent, that would mean a win by penalty and you should then draw two more cards.

I'll check on this thread once the game is over - lol!

You are so right, Diana! When Portugal won to England, I had just pulled the Four of Pentacles to Portugal and the Four of Cups to England… I though something was wrong, so I pulled cards again, and got the six of pentacles to Portugal and the six of spades to England! And we won by penalties, of course.

But I am not pulling cards to next game.

haha. fast replies. I just did a reading. Won't be revealing it here. Lets hope it's true. :)

... :D

Did a reading with the Tarot of Prague. I'll post the cards but not what team got which card.

It's Star vs. King of Wands - so I think the game will be very exciting.

Well, it seems to me, as if the servant behind the king is carrying the trophy (the strange helmet). And hope is good, but will it bring the victory?

... would love some comments on the reading...
What do you think - Star or King of Wands?

Little Baron  04 Jul 2004
A good fight put up by the star but the King of Wands will be the winner. Just an impulse reaction.

thinking again ... i don't know ... maybe the star being a major means a major win ... wands being action, then again, I don't know. any ideas guys?

Kahlie  04 Jul 2004
I'd go for the King of Wands :)

I think PRT would be the Star, since they are very hopeful and kind of grew into the tournament :)

BTW, I once drew a card for soccer, and got the Devil for a match, I didn't get it, untill it became a TIE! hehe

The Star The Star The Star.

The King of Wands will fight till the last second, but the spotlights on the Star:)

Hmmm Lady mary....I think I know who the Star is :D

NeXoRiouS  04 Jul 2004
sweet. Around 3-4hours time the match shall begin. It's going to be exciting.

jema  04 Jul 2004
I think the Star might be Portugal, they always have such high hopes and somehow never makes it all the way.
The King of Wands could be Greece taking charge.

Just my 2 cents...

Oh and Greece got the most yummy goal-keeper by the way;-)

Moonbow*  04 Jul 2004
Well I pulled the Eight and the Four of Wands....

Looks to me like a close game.... but maybe the Eight of Wands has the edge??? :D

Little Baron  04 Jul 2004
Portugal - 7 Wands
Greece - Knight of Cups
(Rohrig Tarot)

The guy jumping on the '7' seems the favourite for me, even though the 'Knight', being the highest ranking of his suit, could win that 'cup'.

Edited to add:
Just looked at Francesca Marzano-Fritz's comment on the card from the accompanying book for the '7' - 'Struggling against resistance. Courage, bravery and readiness to take risks will be rewarded'. The Knight's sensitivity and sensibility doesn't seem to match the 'action' and 'risk taking for results' as the '7 of wands' does.

Best wishes

I did this before for the first game of the Euros and got it all wrong so I'll try again. With the Fournier

Portugal - Reyne D'epee
Greece - Ace Coins

Looks like Greece to me. They win the medal. On the other hand, the Queen is holding her sword up and it looks like a 1 and the Coin looks like a 0 so it could be 1-0 to Portugal. So basically, I have no idea :D

:)

Lady Mary  04 Jul 2004
And the winner is: Greece = King of Wands (authority combined with action). Portugal = Star (well hope, but not the victory).

NeXoRiouS  04 Jul 2004
yup... i got Portugal(The Fool) and Greece(The High Priestess). Sweet game.

smleite  05 Jul 2004
Well, I said I wouldn’t pull cards, but it was my country playing- just couldn’t resist. Got the Eight of Spades to Portugal, and the Sun to Greece. Plus the score 1-0 crossed my mind while I was pulling cards. So I figured out what the result would be, and decided not to see the game – too much suffering. I spent the whole time playing with my daughter, thought my mind was on the TV set…
