Here's a quote from Linabeet in another post.

Our cerdo player found a whole RWS tossed all over the street a week before the gig, clearly a sacrifice for arts sake. We had them pinned up all round and onto eveyone's costume for clarification. (Those RWS's just have a funny way of turning up - has anyone else found this? I once found a still in plastic wrap deck my bathroom who's placer has yet to be identified.)
Indeed, I didn't want a RWS, it didn't attract me ATALL! NEVER gonna get one. I now have two. The first one arrived quite by accident (yeah right).
I bought an Enchanted Tarot set on eBay. It showed up missing the wish card. Heck no, not gonna do. I emailed the seller who searched high and low. No love, but she said, she did have another deck lying around somewhere, and if she could find it, would I accept that? I said, sure. I'm a nice chick. No idea which deck it was, but ostensibly it would at least be a complete one.
My new RWS arrived in the mail a few days later. I thought, sheesh! It found me anyway! And it's not as bad as I thought. Interesting to see what everyone's talking about..and it does seem almost familliar. Hmmmmm. I got the other one for a trade that never happened....turned out to be an older one.
Anyway, has this ever happened to you with the Rider Waite Coleman Smith?
Has it ever happened to you with any other deck?

It is my dream to find a deck at a jumble sale or a market.
I have done.
Only WCSs.
I like the WCS, but one copy is sufficient, thanks.

I seem to have a nice collection of the Thoth, one for every occasion - My first Thoth was a second hand buy and was the large white box green tinged version so I bought the standard in the Lavender box, then I bought a tarot kit, I forget who its by, but it has a pocket Thoth and Rider Waite in, then I wanted to study the Thoth in detail and bought another large non-green one - this is the only deck I have four of lol :)

It's one of many terms for the 9 o f Cups.
However, now that I think about it, I think it was actually the 9 of Pentacles. Or is it coins in that deck?

just had a look in the book.
Its key word is FULFILLMENT. it says (amongst other things) Satisfaction is achieved. You wish is granted.
Co-incidently, I was lying in bed thinking, like you do, about things I'm not happy with, and I thought, I'd pull a card as my theme for the day. And guess what it was!!!!! the 9 of Hearts.
I'm having my tea and toast now, and thinking hard about what to wish for, wouldn't want to waste it!.

I ended up giving the bathroom arrival RWS away to a friend in need.
Easy come easy go. I was just the strangest thing. Well not really, that house was haunted too. Poor thing. I think I managed to shoo him on. Lots of fairy types there too.

Nicely writing a reply to the last thread.
About wouldn't it be really great to find an old deck, just lying in the rubbish left behind by some travelling fair, or in an old trunk in a dusty attic.
You laid out a spread, and it foretold some wonderful things, like the winning lottery numbers, or a tall handsome stranger was walking into your life.......
........then all of a sudden my computer screen switched itself off, and then the computer itself crashed!!!!!!.
cue... twilight zone music!!! spooooky!.
think I'll get on with the housework, and put tarot to the back of my mind for a bit. :)

lol Katie_here,
That usually happens to me when I've got a masterpiece of a reply, well thought out and written. I sit back to admire and press the submit reply only to be faced with the blue screen of death - by the time I get back on, I've forgotten what I originally tried to post and so give a very quick and diluted version of the first post lol :)
