I've started practicing reading tarot with full attention last 3yrs. ago. And since I focuses on this...I started to have weird dreams ever. Mostly those dreams I have are giving me the feeling of what would happen in the end of days of the world... I can see volcanoes erupting...a very strong rain with super dark clouds...grounds breaking in half...a twister that's so destructive and the sky that is also breaking.....I even experienced seeing horrible creatures, ghost, dwarfs, spirits and etc...I even dream that the earth is not existing anymore and I am floating in outer space..then at times I am in other planet similar to earth. Pls. help me to analysis this dreams I have since I started practicing tarot... Do I have to worry or is this a sign that I can see what will happen in the future? I am in those dreams...feeling the fear, seeing people's fear but then it is as if I am invisible because I don't feel pain....Help me on this pls.... I need your opinion or may be a little reading for me..coz you know sometimes when you read for yourself you become biased...HELP!!!

Bublee_tweety: First: Dreams are the language of the unconscious; employ images or associations personal to the dreamer that may not have relevance for another. The subjective nature of dreams & the symbolism they may contain (barring the archetypal which can vary according to the influences to which an individual is exposed) tend to make interpretation difficult via another party.

Second: Working with the cards & particularly, their archetypal imagery tends to establish communications with the unconscious or subconscious realm; *opens/awakens the awareness on different levels of being*.

Hence, the type of dreams need not necessarily indicate their nature is prophetic; nor of doom & gloom forthcoming. The dreams described sound very much as if a change or a breakthrough in consciousness & emotions are being experienced which can be both exciting & frightening, especially since it all involves delving into the unknown parts of self. Such as may be perceived by the images of: "volcanoes erupting"; "a strong rain"; "grounds breaking"; "a twister"; "sky breaking", so on. The seeing of "horrible creatures" may pertain to delving into the unknown or the unfamiliar; include accessing the unfamiliar territory of the deeper or darker recesses of self (the shadow self).

Third: To assist in the insight regarding the possible development of the inner self, consider recording your dreams & drawing a daily card. Then examine what correlation exists between both. Writing of the dreams in the present tense can help in the recall of the chronological details. Writing the impressions of those cards can assist with their possible significance on a daily basis or over a longer term.

I noted in your profile you enjoy artsy things, including sketching.

You have visual and other physical sensations related to your dreams, which makes for a somewhat involved, but scary interaction if you weren't aware of how you experienced dreams before. I believe studying tarot helps our visual and other sensitive memory areas--increasing our awareness to our imagination, our inner metaphors and sensations.

Movies, books, memories and other stories become jumbled in our minds and dreams help the sleepy mind sort through lots of gathered sensations and experiences.

If you really want to, take an element of dream and sketch it for a few minutes to half an hour. If you draw or sketch the most vivid sensation of the dreams, associating the colors--perhaps red of volcano with red color, yellow streaks if there was light reflected on the red lava flow...or black if the floating sensation was of floating on a dark night...perhaps when you look or create or lay down the colors, you will flash upon associations that would be useful for you. Maybe you were floating in pitch black, but it was more like the floating in water...or you were floating in space, but it was a peaceful sensation after all the bright, flashy colors...

Here's a book that has exercises like the one above:

Here's a website with suggestions:

http://www.kporterfield.com/creativity/Dream_Journal.html

While it doesn't always make sense, does it better for you to look at it as a creative exploration and that you can probably find your answers with a little more exploration and confidence? I believe over time you won't be scared, you'll be more certain that you can figure out what works for you.

Best wishes,

Cerulean
