If we were given only 22 decks of tarot cards and someone said "one deck for one major card of the tarot" do you think it would work?
We then could take the deck that resembles the Fool and choose one major card and use that deck for the reading. This card also would give you information about the client.
One dark deck could go for the Devil
The Saints for the Heirophant
...and so on
Just something to think about.

This is a cool idea.
I am trying to decide now...which of my decks embody which particular archetypes of the Major Arcana.
Sigh. I have too many decks that remind me of The Sun...

My collection of decks is already quite varied (Hanson-Roberts and Robin Wood are closest in style) and I hope to learn all the decks I have well enough to choose deck by querent/question in future.
Not that I feel certain decks can only answer certain questions, but sometimes there is a need for an extra touch to a reading.
I've only tried it a few times sofar and the results are really quite good, in that I get a feel of the question in the deck aswell as in what the cards are telling me.
Though 22 decks is a long way away from me yet...

Ros, this is a cool idea. I'm wondering what the Victoria Regina would be . . . perhaps the Chariot? Controlled and somewhat mechanical?
