Major Arcane in majority

Hello everyone! I'm wondering... hoping you might be able to help me know... When I do a reading for myself, I usually have a lot of major cards come up in the reading, more so than any of the other cards. And in the last couple of readings done by other's when they listed the cards they pulled, they pulled a majority of the majors for me. Can anyone give me an idea as to why this is? This has happened many times, and it makes me wonder why it is... Thanks! :)

There may be aspects of yourself or others that are manifesting in particularly archetypal ways, or qualities you need to bring into your life or just be aware of. The readings seem bigger, somehow.

so then perhaps a 'this card is not this, this card is this, this card...' type reading on each of the cards might be a good thing to do.... hmmmm... Thanks!

Sweet sweet floracove: It is because in your lifetime, you are living more than what most people live in a few lifetimes. The Major Arcana are there to uplift you. They are like the Big Signposts, compared to little signposts. Neon lights instead of just posters on a wall. They are there to guide you. You will be getting Major Arcana for a couple more years... and then things should settle down. It means also that you need to put your trust in the powers that be. That they are guiding you where you need to go, even if you find it hard to believe. Whenever you get Temperance, it is to remind you that you have a guardian angel.

I wish I knew how to add to this discussion! :D I *do* know that picking up on the Majors kinda comes & goes on me. It's like it's warning me that heavy stuff is going down at times - I may not even be aware of it. Other times, my life is so mundane that for long periods of time, I get hardly anything but Minors. Boring, huh? ;)

Tarot has both Major and Minor Arcana the same way Water is composed of a single atom of Oxygen and two atoms of Hydrogen, and would be just as dry without both of these indispensable mysteries. :)

Tower - This is the situation that has just unraveled itself, from under my feet. Leaving me wondering, What happened to the rug, that was just there... Knight Pentacles - This is him, the liar, the rug snatcher... fits him to a tee, though, i thought him to be in the Kings place by now. 4 of swords - This is me, or how I feel. Mental, or emotional stress from beliving him, and trusting him... And not even understanding the 'why' of it all. Wasted years, time, hopes & dreams, for nothing. Crumbled... Judgement - This is the facing of something that I don't understand the reason for. The striving to begin again. And being a naturally forgiving being. Not knowing the 'why' is giving me a hard time in the forgiving. It's just not 'right'! Sun - This card does symbolize a child to me. A hope that there is something good involved in all this. Star - This is my knowing that even if things aren't like he & I had planned, that there is something to look forward to in life Better things. Temperance - This is the natural-ness that is always inside me to help things be better. Trying to equal things out. Chariot - Yeah, I see the get the heck out of Dodge, card. But it's also union card, even if it's of opposite's. (I'm Pisces, he's Virgo) I've had concerns after living with his family and how they interact with each other, how they treat each other, and us outsider's. About even letting them have anything to do with a new baby. We have a 9 year old together, and thye don't even know her, not because I'd never share her with them, or take her over there. But because they make plans with her, then when the time comes, they have a change in their plans without even letting us know about it, till we get there, then she's hurt. And after seeing how his mother treats my child & her other grandchildren, I'm not so sure that her poor state of mental health is healthy for one's so young. Quote: Wow! I seem to be reading these cards exactly the opposite of how you are reading. That is OK, I have been wrong before. :| I would have said that the Knight of Pentacles stands 4 square, in other words, in a stable, strong SUPPORTIVE place. Based on what you are saying, it sounds like he is stable alright, and stubborn, and unwilling to change, and it is pretty awful all around. I see the major arcana (to me) as issues that are out of your hands, but they didn't seem so evil as you are saying. The tower is upheaval, but I was thinking you should wait on events and see what happens. When the time comes, you will be free (Chariot) The 4 of Swords, is rest, time out. Take credit for what you have done already. Obviously this is not a situation you can wait on. Well, forget my reading altogether, I guess I totally misinterpreted things! I am very sorry if I made you angry, I hope things get better for you soon.

angry? I'm not angry. I'm sorry if I seem angry... (call me confused, now) unless the feelings I have going on about the situation, is coming across. But I'm not angry at all with you. (((hugs))) I appreciate any, & all help, and understanding from anyone. The question I put to the reader, that sent me those cards was a pregnacy concern. And when she came back with all these major cards, I got to thinking, and then looking at the other readings, from the past. Some of them told me the cards, some just told me what they interrpreted from the reading. I realized that I wan't the only one pulling major cards when reading for me. (one reason I don't do alot of readings for myself, the cards are always so strong, and the strenght of them has me unsettled at times.) Maybe because I'm so much a feeler, I don't know... I just wondered why they always show up so much, wondered if something was wrong with me... Thanks Ace, I appreciate your help.

As I look at the cards, I see the 4 Swords as a time to rest from the battle, rest from the pain. The Judgment card to me seems to say that there is something that has already been decided that is about to unfold. Maybe you've already made decisions regarding what you want your life to be for you and your child that you're not fully aware of yet. I do not see this as a card of mercy, or reconciliation, but of a decision. The Sun and Temperance cards suggest to me that there will be a much better, happier outcome, with good things for you and your child, and a more balanced life, without so much emotional turmoil. The Star will give you the internal strength and inspiration to do what is best for you and your child. Also, a reminder to take care of yourself, pamper yourself, love yourself. Remember your own worth. The Chariot in this case seems a sign of movement, which you will be able to do if you let yourself have the rest from the pain. You will be able to do what needs to be done, whether that is move away from the situation, or move toward reconciliation. Again, the Judgment card seems to say that deep inside, you already have made a decision. The Tower, of course, is the unexpected event, the "unraveling" as you call it. But the Tower is not always bad, although it can feel that way at the time. Look at the positive cards, what may come of this unraveling has much good in it. Perhaps it hinges on the decision and action you take?

floracove: There are no positions in your reading. We do not know which cards refer to what. It's very hard to interpret that way. Also, we know what your question concerned, but we do not know the exact question, i.e. how you formulated it. And also, which deck was used? And when you say "on-line", do you mean an automated reading, or was it a real person doing the reading? Do you know this person? Are they a serious Tarot reader?

She gave me no positions, just a list of what she pulled. This was her interpretation. Quote: In your recent past you have experienced a major change in your life. So in the mean time enjoy the things you have, and don’t question them. You have a rough road ahead of you, that is a common thing to go through when you are trying to bring balance into your life. But with that said remember to give back to your self, take time for you if you do not you will find yourself no use to your self or your children. Remember the key here is balance. She's real person, I've spoke with her in pm's, but not in real life. The number of cards struck me strange. The tower, hardly ever shows itself to me. (and I mean very, very rarely) i'm not upset with anyone here. Please understand, my whole being is haywire right now, I meant no disrespect. Just lots of pain inside, at this time. I'm sorry.

formulating questions: I usually do not try to limit the cards. With a certain question. Mostly for myself, I ask them to tell me what they will. Every once in awhile, I'll ask a certain thing. With this reading, since it was someone else reading, and this question was in my mind. I asked that she ask them about being pregnate at this time. I only showed these as an example of the way the majors come up for me.

To answer the original question, I find that a lot of majors come up for me when I'm dealing with Big Stuff in life. Soul issues, not just the everday, mundane level of existence issues. It feels very confirming, for me, at times to see a bunch come up when I'm in pain. To me, it reaffirms the fact that I am dealing with something very deeply, and should continue to try to honor the process. I love Diana's analogy of them being neon signposts as opposed to posters. I totally understood that. floracove, I hope your pain soon ends and the lesson you need to learn from it is quickly gained so you can move forward.
