Hi guys!
I'm totally over the moon right now! I spent all of today and last night studying the deck... i've got an idea about all the cards except the courts.
Anyway I did a reading for my best friend over the phone. And she had just broken up with her boyfriend.
Anyway what showed up was amazing! Everything I read had/or was happening to her!.
Then I read for her sister who had just gotten engaged! And the same thing happened! I was spot on!.
I was so shocked by my ability! I mean I haven't been reading for that long. The idea of being so correct has really thrown me.
Just thought I would share that with you all. LOL sorry if i've bored you to pieces :D.

I'm having mixed feelings now. I'm happy for you that you have grasp the meaning of the cards. However, you got through this with the aid of someone feeling hurt. So without her breakup, you might not have this chance now. Just an assumption.
Reading this two together = sick...
Just Kidding.. Gd luck on your Court Cards!

Hi NeXoRiouS
Not sure what you mean? She broke up with her boyfriend last friday... I did a reading tonight before i rang her to check her emotinal state... and when I rang her she confirmed everything to be true...
Care to expand what you mean about the break up having an impact on the way i was reading?

Well, through the reading you realised your potential. However if she had not been through the break up, you won't have done the reading thus not knowing your abilities yet.
Hence what I mean is sometimes it takes failures for us to understand better.

Ah yes! I'm with you now... I never really thought of it like that. What an interesting way of thinking.
I probably would have been still doubting my abilities if it wasn't for her break up.
Maybe my doubts were actually holding me back? maybe they were blocking my intuition...

I'm so happy for you! :D Congrats! I hope you'll be staying with us! I only started reading 8 months ago, and through this forum, I learned more. :D Careful not to develop "tarotholism", though. It's when you can't seem to stop acquiring new decks!

have to do is criticise someone else. How about you?
I just finished writing back to a querent who had asked
a health related question. (I do free readings for the ata).
Well, after I'd declined to do her reading but offered to
just talk and share, she responded that she was exploring
the cards on her own, rediscovering them after two years.
Her health concerns, my declining to read for that question,
and her then, on her own, getting back in touch with the
Tarot may all be said to have stemmed from "problems."
Fear, doubt, failure, calamity ~ problems all, are what many
people will turn to the cards for in the first place, and the last.

Moonlight,
When you're right, you're right. You've learned to scope out the messages the cards presented which is a giant skill. That skill will shine through whether your querant has had very good luck, or otherwise. The realization of your ability had absolutely nothing to do with your friend's problem.
You've made an impressive start on an important journey in your life. Do not let those in a negative frame of mind take away its importance. Or dim its glow.
Goddess Bless.

I am in agreement with Red Emma and Fulgour: you have every right to be excited at discovering your abilities and being able to use them to help your friend....as readers, we cannot be expected to solve people's problems or help them avoid heartache...that is when free will and other external influences come into play. What we can do, and what you did through tarot, was to help your friend take a closer look at herself and her situation....sometimes just taking the time to listen is all that is needed.
Welcome to the forum, and please do not allow anyone else to rain on your parade....

I'm really sorry if I have offended anyone. I'm just hoping that she would be able to see it from another point of view. Yes it's negative but it's not something we shouldn't consider in readings.
Personally I have also matured through reading for others. There are times I've grasped better understanding of the cards because of their appearance in a reading. Hence I see tarot as a win-win situation. The querent gets the answers and as a reader I get experience. Thus without their existence, I won't have gotten that chance.
However I don't mean that people asking for readings existed for you. It's just that our paths cross and both are given the chance to help each other. If the chances misses, others will come.
It goes the same for someone who has never been through hardships, all his life is wonderful, he has never felt pain before. However the moment he is hurt, he learns something new. He gains an experience that can't be taught in classrooms. As we are entities of this world, we are entitled to suffering. Instead of complaining how much we hate it, compromise and understand why it's painful.

I think we were just a little surprised you were so one-sided.
Life is a great mystery, but is it the gift or price of death...?
Your insights are important, and maybe deserve their own
thread ~ exploring the obligations and benefits of reading.

I know. It's hard for people to understand the way I think. Some say I think too much, some advice me to think positively. However, the reason why there are so many bombings and terrorist acts because we are too positive. It's time to lift up the carpets and dig out the dust.

The ability to use your gifts and your time to help others, by reading their cards, talking to them, and listening, is worth being proud of, moonlight.
The world is full of problems. Problems exist. The important part is, you faced those issues with your friends who needed your help. Excellent work, and the good feeling we get after doing a reading is an important part of my own "reader's paycheck". Enjoy that feeling!

Just remember to be wearing a mask , there's quite a bit of dust under that carpet nowdays.
You have excellent points though, focusing and acting on the concepts of absolute utopia like it is already here at the cost of a percentage (any percentage) of the people of Earth. When such heinous acts are taking place it causes a rift in opinion and reminds us why we develop our psychic gifts to begin with: So that when we do act through psi-energy, it is controlled, focused, and courteous to others privacy. Far too often I find myself in a psychic battle, ususally with my thoughts as the target, but sometimes the other way around. Tarot and diviniation is an excellent way to develop mental capacity without intefearing with others and their psychic microcosm.
I divide my readings into personal and worldly, and those worldly readings are the ones that tap into the hidden truths swept under the rug and sweep them out, not all are taken kindly, but that is to be expceted and admired.

I'm sure many of us had premonition or strong senses telling us something bad is going to happen. Some plane is going to crash or somebody is going to get knocked by a car and etc. However, who will believe what we say? Before it happens, you spread the news to the people, they will think you're insane. After it happens, you tell others you knew it, they will say then why didn't you report it? No matter how developed we are, those who are self-conceited will regard this is nonsensical. Hence, i suppose there isn't enough terror and horror to wake the people up.

Good grief.
Poor moonlight! While some of these points are perhaps important in the great scheme of things, the poor dear only wanted to share her very first success.
So I'm officially de-hijacking her thread, and shouting "hooray!" to yet another gifted tarot reader from Down Under.
Way to go, moonlight, it's great to have you here, and thanks for sharing your successes and enthusiasm.

I second that, I saw it as the positive side you were intending it as when you first posted.
Doesn't matter what the core problem was, the focus here is on the reader hitting the stride at just the right time & being aware of it.
Congrats!

Well I think we all need to take a step back from this thread and get all the... negativness away! :).
Yes I just wanted to share my experience, but everyone has the right to their own view on the tarot, so I won't hold that against anyone who wants to share it.
I think maybe it should have been brought up in a new thread though.
Anyway, moving on!.

Just as The Knight of Pentacles is the embodiment
of Virgo ~ diligent and careful, patient and enduring,
so too now you may be moving forward from there
to the Queen of Swords, and the nature of Libra ~
balanced justice and harmony, with softly beauteous
sensuality and the warm society of friends and groups.
Goddess Bless.
