During the next three months or so, I will be writing a research paper on "Tarot and Psychology" or "The Psychology of Tarot", or something like it. It is a course requirement. When I say "Tarot" here, I'm not just referring to tarot reading - which always has some Psychology in it, I think - but to Tarot in general. I may have to narrow it down to a specific topic.
Any suggestions and info you guys can give would be greatly appreciated!

Rosengarten's book is very good, IMHO, at describing how people in the psychological professions can use tarot, so this should be an excellent resource for your paper.
Another author that discusses psychological issues in terms of Tarot is Gail Fairfield. Her books are Everyday Tarot and Choice-Centered Relating and Tarot. There are some good reviews of the Everyday Tarot book on Amazon that tell you a bit about what's in that book. (You can reach the second book through the first link, also)
Another one just came to mind -- Sallie Nichols' book Jung and Tarot: An Archetypal Approach goes through the Major Arcana elucidating their meanings in terms of Jung's Archetypes.
Okay, and now I'm thinking that you should stop by a bookstore and peruse Rachel Pollack's The Forest of Souls, as she offers a few insights in that book that could be used in almost any field of study!
Good luck! I'll stop now before I scare you with too many books to read! :D
Peace,
Melvis

I think it would be interesting to focus on perception of tarot, exploring the different ways in which tarot is perceived by different individuals in society.
I started a thread a while back, on a social psychological theory by Moscovici; the theory of social representation.
Tarot & It's Associations
In the past, I have focused on social representation theory in connection with sexual health, and HIV/AIDS, but I think that the theory could also be applied to other phenomenon, practices, or whatever (LOL) in the social world. If you like I could give you some quick references to some social representation theory literature.
