I was at a friends house, and had my cards on me.
We visited awhile, before I left, she wanted a reading.
I had been there awhile, so I was kinda in a bit of hurry to leave.
So I told her we'd do a real quick reading.
She didn't ask out her question, just concentrated.
The cards came as they did, I told her what I saw, and she totally understood what they meant.
This is the first time I've done a reading, without having to check my book to make sure I'm right!
I feel so good!
So cool, to do it without wondering if I should second guess myself!

Congratulatons, Floracove!
It's such a good feeling to trust oneself enough to let the cards speak from within :) That's what tarot is all about, isn't it?!

Yes lionette, I do believe your right!
It was a totally awsome feeling, I'm quite please with myself and cards right now...
Now...
On to other decks!
:D

Really a good strong feeling. That's great news.
hehe, and after all this time I *still* have to go back to a book occasionally.

You know, something I realized last night while doing that reading, (and the 3 card reading I did for a guy that was there).
He asked, 'Why is my life the way it is?' Deep question for a quick 3 card pull.
He understood what the cards meant when I told them what I saw, and he's never been around cards before...
I realized that if people are open to just have a glance that they do understand what they see in the cards, without having to go into some really big spill about them.
Pretty cool!

What an exciting experience, Floracove. I think that second-guessing ourselves is a natural part of the journey, but unless it gets out of hand, it serves as a check-and-balance. So don't let it discourage you -- read, and read, and go on reading!

Floracove: Congratulations!!
Not feeling a need to consult another source is a breakthrough; be assurance the intuition serves.
Agree with Astraea that second-guessing can serve as a check system.

Excellent story.
I have been doing all of my readings in the YA and BOOT thread intuitively and have had some good results. I havn't checked the book for one of them but in time, it might be interesting to go back and look over some of the readings and see whether they resemble some of what is written elsewhere.
I like this way of reading. I do consult books occasionally and have built up a lot of knowledge over the years, but there is such a good feelling that comes from delivering what you personally feel from the cards - especially if it rings true and helps the querant.
Hope this is the beginning of a whole new way of reading for you. You know you can do it now, so there is no looking back.
Best wishes
Yaboot
