Okay I know that it is still about 8 months away!! :D but I am excited about going already!
Maybe it is just because my holidays have been approved from work; I have registered for the conference; organised my accommodation and now booked my flights! :D
My husband thinks I am crazy to be planning so far ahead but I am sure some of you here on AT will understand ;)
I have tried explaining it to him that it would be like him having a chance to go to a Golf Conference (him being a mad golfer), and getting to meet, listen, and talk to lots and lots of other golfers, golf pros, golf club and course designers etc - hoping he would relate to this analogy.
So anyone else here already got their plans underway to go to Melbourne next year? or do I just need to get out more ;)

PS. also already wondering how many decks, books etc I will be able to fit in my suitcase - and where to buy some thermal underwear for the trip south in winter :D

I too am ;)
As to thermal underwear - not to worry, they're relatively easily available :D
Bookings are slowly coming in, and registrations have been taken from a number of states and overseas... but it's of course early days.
This week I also need to contact various presenters and others who have also since offered to run workshops (but it does look like we've run out of room for new workshops and presentations - but others are bound to be there whose names are also well known... more on this anon :)).
I'm as excited to be part of its organisation, as I am looking forward to participating... learning, meeting many people, and engaging in such a wonderful event.

I am so excited too CF!!!! Oh what a time we are going to have, the people we will meet, the fun to be had and all the things we will learn. I really can't wait.
I am also excited about meeting AT members and those who have travelled from afar.
I love how the Conference is really taking shape and form and, don't worry, I have been planning too and I live in Melbourne :D
Like jmd, I am excited to be part of its organisation, obviously not to the point that jmd is, but even playing a small role is exciting!

Maybe down south, jmd, but in Queensland they sort of look at you a little blankly when you ask if they stock them! :D

I am pleased to hear that there are others who are keen 'early' birds like me. There was just no way I was going to take a chance of missing out on attending. Also this way I get to look forward to it longer and make plans to see a bit of Melbourne as well, knowing that I am definitely going now. :)

Absolutely, TA! :D

I am also looking forward to this, TA. But how will we recognise other Aeclectians though? Is there a special handshake or sign? Or maybe we can all wear a purple ribbon or something! LOL
With you being one of Melbournites, TA, we will be relying on you to let us know the best places to go in town. Like are there any really good tarot like shops in the city and not to mention the restaurants and nightlife spots. ;)
I wonder how many days it is to go now . . . hmm, might have to go and work that out :D

LOL CF, a secret hand shake would be great or perhaps a secret wink ;)
Ahhh I used to be known as the party girl, but these days I'm a bit more subdued.
But don't you worry, I work in the city, go to College in the city and live in the city...I know all the great restaurants and bars and anything else your heart desires!
I will be more than happy to take on the role of entertainment queen! I have actually been thinking about that already, because we all definately have to have dinners together and drinks. Don't worry I get everything sorted YAY!!!

Well today having hung up on the wall my Major Toms 'Tarot Lovers' Calendar as it is the first day of 2005, and noticed that the Melbourne conference is on the calendar for the 1st July 2005 - that means it is exactly now only six months to go (and counting)! :)

The next six months will hopefully fly by, TA, and it will be Melbourne here we come!
Okay, it is obvious that I am still really excited about this and will try and restrain myself ;) and not post again about this for at least another month.
just had to work out how many days - only 181 to go!

What a good idea, TA!! I have decided that I am going to stay in a hotel in Melbourne city for the duration of the conference so that I don't miss out on a second of it and then spend the rest of my holidays in the suburbs catching up with friends after the conference. :)
There are at least two of us going to the Conference from our Brisbane Time Out for Tarot group and we have put on the agenda for our end of July meeting the theme "Experiences from the Melbourne International Tarot Conference" so that we can share with those who are not able to attend. But there are still a few more that are thinking about going yet which is great! :D

I thought so, what I might do is organise a little do after registration for the Conference....in a bar or something. Let me know your thoughts OK? I am more than happy to find a place and a time for us all so we can chat before the Conference and where we will have time to do so, the Conference is action packed :D
I am dying to meet you all!
